JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood
3
Attachment If you beat Story Mode and then play through it again, the captions for Jonathan's response to Dio kicking his dog Danny in the jaw are slightly altered. Instead of reading "何をするんだ" ("What the hell are you doing?!"), it will now read "何をするだ" ("What the hell you doing!?"), which is identical in meaning, but omits the hiragana character "ん". The typo in the second playthrough is deliberate and references a mistake made in that scene when it was published in the manga's original 1987 print run. This typo stuck around in reprints for almost 15 years, becoming a meme among Japanese fans for making the intended line sound like a "country-like scream", until it was finally corrected in a paperback release in 2002.

This code unlocks a pair of debug features that can be used on Controller 2 during gameplay by pressing either A to skip the current level (up to the ending sequence), or B to switch between the Jekyll and Hyde modes.
Jak 3

Attachment Naughty Dog's name was inspired by their first company mascot Morgan, a Labrador/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix born in 1989 who was the pet dog of co-founder Jason Rubin starting with the development of Rings of Power. During the development of Way of the Warrior, Morgan lived with both Rubin and co-founder Andy Gavin in poor living conditions and she was often fed some of their meals from the fast food chain McDonald's. While she first appeared in a game as a Special Thanks credit in Rings of Power, Morgan technically became part of the company when she was given her own photo ID card after Naughty Dog moved onto the Universal Interactive Studios premises for the development of Crash Bandicoot. She was credited as a member of Naughty Dog on their four Crash Bandicoot games and Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. She died in 2002 at the age of 13 during the development of Jak II, and several tributes to her were put into Jak II and Jak 3.

Jak II's manual and end credits feature a standard In Memoriam dedication for Morgan, but there are two more hidden tributes in the game. There is a green neon sign spelling Morgan's name written in the Precurian language inside the Hip Hog Saloon located to the left from the door. Additionally, in the Power Station in New Haven City, a set of random scrolling Precurian messages can be found on the large computer monitor. Translating these to English will reveal the following:

• "Morgan I miss you"
• "Morgan"
• "Thirteen years hard time"
• "There will never be another"
• "Good dog"
• "I will always love you"

Another message can be found on computer screens you can view at eye-level, which reads "Morgan is still missed even after a year has passed". These computer screen messages are re-used on the monitors in both the Power Station and the Freedom League buildings in Jak 3. Since Morgan's death, Naughty Dog have credited more pets as members of their team and/or company mascots, with the first successor being a Labrador puppy named Osiris who first appeared in the credits of the first Jak and Daxter game alongside Morgan.

Thank Goodness You’re Here!

Attachment When traversing the drainage pipe that leads to Barnsworth, the player can spot graffiti that reads "PAY NO POLL TAX" and "DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD!" These reference slogans from opponents of former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher.

The former references the Community Charge, a controversial policy of the Thatcher administration that resulted in her 1990 resignation following widespread protests (it was ultimately replaced by the Council Tax three years later). The latter message references a campaign by anti-Thatcherites following her death in 2013 to inflate the chart position of "Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead", a song from the 1939 film adaptation of The Wizard of Oz, under the pretense that the BBC would be forced to play it over the radio. The network ultimately compromised by including a brief snippet in a news report about the campaign. The presence of both references ties in with the game's setting in Northern England, where anti-Thatcherism is particularly pronounced.

Attachment After obtaining the map from the karaoke bar, if the player selects the "じっとみつめる" ("Stare") option and waits on the resulting screen for an hour, a text box will appear mimicking the sign-off messages used by Japanese TV channels before the screen goes black. Waiting an additional three hours brings up a series of SMPTE color bars, and waiting one more hour brings up a second text box which simply reads "おはようございます" ("good morning"). Following this, the player is returned to the karaoke bar, with their progress reverted to before obtaining the map.

Attachment The New World script seen throughout the game is a cipher for the Latin alphabet. While this is most visible with the subtitles for "Welcome to the New World", which are provided in both scripts, all other instances are just as easily translatable, producing coherent English-language messages.

In an interview for Nintendo's "Ask the Developers" column, series director Shinya Kumazaki and associate producer Kei Ninomiya revealed that they deliberately designed and utilized the New World script in a way that would allow players to translate it themselves, with Kumazaki describing it as a way to make the game more immersive for curious audiences.

In an intro dialogue with Geras and Johnny Cage, the former will ask, "You want a sports almanac from the future?" to which Cage will respond "Forget it. It was just an idea."

This is a reference to the film "Back to the Future Part II" where the main antagonist, Biff Tannen, gives his younger self a sports almanac from the future so that he can become rich by betting on future sports outcomes.

In the American House, Pappas and Mamas' room features a shelf that when examined lists off the names of three comic manuscripts Pappas wrote: "Platinum Surfer", "Z-Men", and "SCAWN". These are references to the Marvel Comics and Image Comics properties Silver Surfer, X-Men, and Spawn respectively.
Doki Doki Literature Club!

Attachment In the original release of the game, attempting to quit during the scene where Spoiler:the player character walks in on the aftermath of Sayori's suicide would open a modified version of the exit prompt. The text in this version of the window is heavily distorted, and a rapidly flashing GIF portrait of Sayori appears in the leftmost region. This Easter egg was removed in the Version 1.1.1 update due to concerns that audiences would interpret this as the game mocking them for feeling distressed at Spoiler:a realistic depiction of suicide; another likely factor for its removal is the risk that the flashing could pose to epileptic or photosensitive players. Despite this, the prompt's assets are still present in the game's files.

Bayonetta
2
At the start of Bayonetta, a funeral is held for a notorious criminal known as "Eggman the Destroyer". This, to a Western audience, seems like a very obvious reference to Sonic the Hedgehog's main antagonist Dr. Eggman, as Bayonetta was published by Sega. However, series creator Hideki Kamiya claimed that he randomly chose the name Eggman and was not aware that there existed a popular Sega character with the name, choosing to leave it as is in the hopes that fans would "get a kick out of that".

Within the Underground World (a hidden area in the Dream World only accessible by sleeping in one of five replicas of Madotsuki's bed, randomly chosen each time she falls asleep) is a large corridor full of fire. Normally, this room requires Madotsuki to obtain and equip either the Snow Woman or Umbrella effect, which produces precipitation that puts the fire out and allows her to proceed into the Storage Room. However, if she enters this area as a snowman (by equipping the Hat & Scarf effect and pressing the 1 key in the Snow World) and stands next to the fire, she will slowly melt into a puddle of water; pressing the 1 key while in this state reverts her back to human form, as with the un-melted snowman.

While Madotsuki can also become a snowman in the blizzard generated by the Snow Woman effect, the weather would carry over to the corridor and extinguish the fire immediately upon entering. Consequently, Madotsuki can only access this Easter egg via the blizzard that appears by default in the Snow World.
For Honor

Attachment The male Berserker class in For Honor was voiced by Stefán Karl Stefánsson, an Icelandic actor best known for portraying the villain Robbie Rotten in the live-action children's series LazyTown. The character was the subject of various internet memes throughout the show's run, the most popular of which being the song "We Are Number One" from the episode "Robbie's Dream Team". Following Stefánsson's widely-publicized death from bile duct cancer, a pair of Robbie Rotten references were added to the game as a tribute. These include:

• An emote named "Number One", where the Berserker transforms into a statue raising a finger upwards, resembling a pose Robbie Rotten does leading into "We Are Number One", with the caption "In Memoriam - to our Number One villain".
• A bot named "RobbieBotten" who plays as the Berserker and wears blue and red stripes, a similar but not exact proximity to the color scheme of Rotten's outfit.

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe

In this version of the game, the Spin Jump button is the same button as the Jump button. This is a first for the series, where the Spin Jump is usually performed by pressing the trigger buttons or shaking the controller. However, on the title screen, if you hold down the left stick for 3 seconds and press L and R, the Spin Jump button will be reverted back to the triggers, and the Jump button can no longer be used for it. Nabbit's voice will be heard when going to the main menu if the control switch is successful. This control option was not advertised or mentioned at any point by Nintendo, and appears to be an Easter egg.
