Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
1
Attachment The PSG-1 was originally going to make an appearance, but it was removed. It can still be seen in Ammu-Nation, and the Sniper Rifle's HUD icon resembles the PSG-1.
Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories
1
The PSG-1 reuses a beta model of the weapon found in the files of the PS2 version of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
EarthBound
1
Attachment There are four unused sprites of King, which show him climbing a ladder or rope. This would suggest two things: either King was supposed to remain in the party longer, or Ness' original travels through Onett were supposed to include something to climb.
Action 52
1
In Cheetahmen, each character has its own introductory cutscene. However, the cutscene for Apollo appears to have no text accompanied with the obligatory image. This is because Active forgot to put the alphabet characters next to the image tiles in the ROM. The unused text can be found in a memory viewer during the cutscene and Levels 5 and 6 of Cheetahmen, and reads:

"APOLLO IS THE MASTER OF THE CROSSBOW. USE THE CROSSBOW TO DEFEAT THE ENEMIES ON THE LAST TWO LEVELS AND GET DR. MORBIS"
Muteki-Ou Tri-Zenon
1
For some reason, there is an unused list of all the playable skaters in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 in the game's code.
Animal Crossing
1
There are numerous unused items in the game's code, all of which can be accessed with cheats. These include:
• A blue fish, possibly used to test the fishing function.
• DUMMY, a glitch item appearing as a white triangle with Japanese text on it reading "ダミー", which translates to "DUMMY", hence the name. Once in an Igloo, you obtain the item in a similar way to other furniture. The animal might want to play a game where he or she will ask you to pick two cards. One card you have to buy something and one card you will get a free prize. The prize card may sometimes be a DUMMY card.
• A glowing yellow box that moves back and forth, can push the player around (sometimes making them float), and can modify the spread of Paper Airplanes.
• A tool labeled "Sickle", which makes the player function as if they had nothing in their hands. Strangely, it appears as a toolbox when dropped, a feature that only appeared in Wild World and New Leaf.
• An "Unknown Item" that appears in the player's inventory as a box with a question mark, and appears in homes as a clone of the DUMMY item.
• Paper Airplanes, which, if you place on the ground, walk off screen, and come back, will duplicate itself. Pressing the A button while on top of the paper airplane will make it disappear visibly, but will still exist in the system's memory. Letting the airplane multiply too much can crash the game.
Grand Theft Auto

Attachment There are unused graphics for a helicopter. When spawned in-game, it moves on the ground like a car.
Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories
1
There is unused text which states "ENGLISH.gxt/TURPASS/~W~Massacre Passed!"
"Massacre" was most likely an early name for the Rampages, although it's possible they were something else.
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
1
Attachment There's an unused animation for the decorative mailbox that appears above the post office in Hyrule Castle Town. The level of animation suggests that there were to be fully functional mailboxes in the game, much like with The Wind Waker.
F-Zero X
1
Attachment There is an unused vehicle named "Super Falcon", it is only accessible by using cheat codes. It was originally intended to become unlocked with use of the F-Zero X Expansion Kit for the Nintendo 64DD.
Enterprise
1
There is an unused sound file in the Atari ST version's "Warning.dat" file that sounds of gibberish when played forwards. However, playing it backwards will reveal that it is someone saying "Enterprise is rubbish".
Gem Smashers
1
Included in the game's files are the first three articles of the Constitution of The United States of America.
The Last of Us Part I
1
There was an alternate ending that was cut from the game, but developers showed it at PAX Prime 2013. During filming of the scene, an impromptu song was made to fit the scene, which was played out in full by the actors.
Dark Souls
1
There is an unused Miracle called "Escape Death" in the game's files that acts as a Rare Ring of Sacrifice, letting the player die, but also keep all of their souls and humanity. It is likely that this was removed due to developers noting that it would remove the penalty of death, making the game unbalanced.
SpongeBob's Boating Bash
1
Attachment Within the game's files there are multiple photos of what are assumed to be the faces of the developers.
Killing Floor
1
Attachment Models for parts of a pinball machine can be found in the game's files. They use the default texture, and are too detailed and big just for a prop. It's likely that these models were used for a scrapped level taking place in a pinball machine.
Ratchet & Clank
1
Attachment On the cover of the US release are a number of weapons in the background. One near Ratchet's head reads "____NTO-RAY". No weapon in the final game fits this name, nor looks like the image associated with it. However, one of the cut weapons for the game was called the "Giganto Ray", and it is likely that this design was left on the cover by mistake.
Dark Souls
1
Oscar, Knight of Astora (the knight who gives the player the Estus Flask in the Undead Asylum) was likely supposed to take a more prominent role. Unused dialogue in the game's files suggests that he was supposed to help the player in Darkroot Garden, as well as engaging in a confrontation with the player at some point in the story.
Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Protoman
subdirectory_arrow_right Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Colonel (Game)
1
Attachment In the Team of Blues release, the Japanese version of Team ProtoMan, there exists a menu for using the Wireless Adapter, rather than the Link Cable, for multiplayer play. It's possible to access this menu through the use of hacking tools, although the feature is not actually programmed. Both the ProtoMan and Colonel versions can use the Wireless Adapter for the Crossover Battle with Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django, so it's unknown why this feature was dropped from the main multiplayer section of the game.
Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?!
1
Attachment The game's files include an unused Fionna Button which is stored with the rest of the menu buttons. It's possible that it was intended for the game to allow the player to use her as a character. The game also includes an unused Boss Rush Mode.
