Some names can't be used in the "Rename player" function; the game simply responds with "Not cool enough" if you try to enter one. Most are swears, slang terms (some rather dirty), or occult-related items Nintendo would rather not be associated with; some of these words are only considered "dirty" in Europe.

Attachment Nintendo of America had requested that any blood or nudity couldn't be shown in the Super Nintendo version, otherwise they wouldn't release it. Blood was either suppressed or changed to green, and the crack of the naked alien's rears was reduced by 3 pixels.

Attachment In Metal Gear Solid, Master Miller is depicted with blond hair and aviator sunglasses. However, Miller in Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake is depicted as an Asian-looking man with black hair. Revisions of Metal Gear 2 from the 2004 mobile phone and games onward depict Miller in his new design.

Attachment The PlayStation Vita has a slot nicknamed the "accessory port." It is situated on the top of the Vita to the right of the game card slot, but it has never been utilized. The Vita redesign model does not have this port, implying that it may or may not be utilized at all in the future.

Attachment In the game, there is a cat-girl enemy named Felicia that looks and acts like the character from Darkstalkers. This enemy was replaced with the recurring enemy, Nekomata, in the PSP remake.

Attachment One of the special event weapons in the Japanese version of the game is a hammer called "Crazy D" that can heal your allies when used against them.

This is a special weapon designed in collaboration with Hirohiko Araki, the author of the manga "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure", and is a direct reference to Part 4's main protagonist, Josuke Higashikata, who possessed a Stand called "Crazy Diamond" that had great physical strength and speed, as well as the ability to heal people's injuries and repair broken objects.

In the Vita version, two trophies begin with the phrase "Who Set Up Us The Bomb". This phrase is a direct-reference to the videogame Zero Wing where a mechanic is seen in the opening of this game saying "Somebody set up us the bomb."

Attachment The painting in the meeting room of the First World Bank depicts Team 7200, the first team to get inside the secret "Overvault". The painting of them was added through a patch. There is a 30% chance the painting will have changed, in addition to there being some creepy music heard from a nearby CD player and lit candles being on the table. The patch also added two plaques in the vault that have the names of the people who helped find the secret.

Attachment On the American version of the boxart, Franky is absent from both the back and front (while being present on both for the Japanese release), possibly as neither the One Piece anime or manga had gotten to the Water Seven/CP9 arc in North America, so they didn't wish to spoil him joining.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds

Attachment Dead Rising's Frank West was originally meant to appear in the original Marvel vs. Capcom 3 as a playable character. However, Frank was cut from the game for causing unspecified lag issues. Interestingly enough, it was confirmed that the helicopter pilot Chun-Li was riding into the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier in the second promotion cutscene of the original Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 was Frank West. Frank West's silhoutte can also still be seen in the background of one of the original Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 promotional art pieces. Frank West would later become playable in Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3.

Haunter's cry changed from generation to generation. In Generation I, it had a humming noise accompanied by a beeping noise. In Generation II, the beep's pitch changed to a jingle similar to a Magneton's cry. In Generation III and onwards, the beeping was removed entirely, leaving behind only the humming.

Attachment In the N64 version of the game, you can see a dead Hunter in the B4F Culture Room. This is the only hunter to appear in Resident Evil 2.
