subdirectory_arrow_right Pokémon Green Version (Game), Pokémon Blue Version (Game)
1

Dead Island
1
Attachment The logo on the game's cover of the North American release was altered to feature the Zombie walking upright instead of hanging from the tree. This was due to the Entertainment Software Ratings Board's (ESRB) strict guidelines about the types of content which is considered appropriate to feature in advertising and marketing materials. The logo did however remain unaltered in-game.

The Super Nintendo, and Game Gear ports of Disney's Aladdin are drastically different to ports on other consoles. SEGA had rights to publish Disney related video games and had a collaboration with Disney's animation studios. SEGA tasked Virgin to program the game. This version ended up on most systems (including the NES and Game Boy). The Game Gear port was programmed by SIMS instead of Virgin Interactive, so gameplay and level design is slightly different. The Super Nintendo version (and by extension the GBA port) was developed by Capcom. Capcom still had rights to develop Disney related games on Nintendo consoles, so they made their own game with different gameplay and levels.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
1
Attachment In one of the sewer sections of Wall Street, there is a small gap in the NES version where a short jump must be performed in order to cross over and avoid the sewer water. In the DOS version, this same gap is now larger, and the ceiling is lower, making the game impossible. There is no way to cross over, none whatsoever. The only way to pass over is to use a password to skip the entire level.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
1
Attachment In the DOS version of the game, there are hidden credits in the Dam level to two people named Dean and Mike, accessed only by using cheats. These people are Mike Smith and Dean Grifiths, graphics artists who worked on the DOS port.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
1
Attachment The NES cover of the game shows each of the turtles wearing red masks instead of the individual colors that they wear in the cartoon and in the game. This is because the cover is a remake of the second print cover for issue #4 of the Mirage comics, where they all wore red masks.

After Shigeru Miyamoto became Satoshi Tajiri's mentor, Satoshi gave thanks to him by making the default rival name 'Shigeru'. Satoshi made himself the default name for the protagonist. This can be found in the Japanese Generation I Pokemon games.
Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3
1
Due to an error in the North American release, it is impossible to face the final boss, thus making 100% completion of the game impossible.

There is a secret code in the Japanese version of the original game. Going into the menu screen and entering Down, Up, Right, Left, Select, Start, Select, Start, B, will cause Toad to appear on-screen and say:

"Secret code found!
Now, let's take a look at your Status.
......Wow!
Nothing's changed at all.
But, what about your experience points......
Nope, nothing's changed.
There's no point in looking for other codes,
and the result will always be the same.
I'll play with you as many times as you like, though......
Secret Code END"

This code would be included internationally for the first time in the game's 2023 remake.

If the player character is male and goes to the Rondez-View Ferris Wheel in Nimbasa City in an autumn month, they may battle an NPC named "Nursery Aide Enatsu" (June in English). In the Japanese versions of the game, June is actually a man disguised as a woman in order to secure a job as a Nursery Aide.
Final Fantasy VII

Attachment In the 2012 PC re-release, using a Save Crystal in a specific screen of the Northern Cave will display the area name in the menu and save file as "Secret Cow Level". This is a reference to the Secret Cow Level in Diablo II.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
1
Attachment A PSP version was planned for release around April 2007. According to Official PlayStation Magazine, it lacked the free-roaming game-play the games usually had, and felt more like a "dungeon romp."
Pokémon Crystal Version
1
In the Japanese version of Pokemon Crystal, players could use the Pokemon Mobile System GB to obtain a GS Ball as an event item which they could take to Ilex Forest. Using it at the forest's shrine would prompt an encounter where a wild Celebi could be captured. However, no equivalent event was ever offered to players of the English version of the game, thus rendering the GS Ball unusable/useless, and under normal circumstances, unobtainable.
Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal
1
Attachment On the North American cover, Ratchet is holding his weapon in his left hand rather than his right.
New Super Mario Bros. 2

Attachment When the player enters Coin Rush for the first time, they will receive several informative messages; the second message, "Exchange Coin Rush records with people you meet! Your Mii character and name will be also be exchanged", contains a typo by saying "be" twice in the second sentence. This typo is only present in the US version of the game.
New Ghostbusters II
1
New Ghostbusters II was only released in Europe. There were plans to make it available in America, but Activision had the rights to make a Ghostbusters video game in the USA, so it was never released outside of Europe.

A prototype of the American version of New Ghostbusters II was eventually leaked online as a ROM and can be played via emulation.
Adventures of Lolo
1
The entire game is made up of reused puzzles from a Japanese series called "Eggerland", which is considered to be part of the Adventures of Lolo series. Because there were no new puzzles in the game and developers thought that there was no reason to re-release puzzles that people had already solved, this is the only Eggerland game to not be released in Japan.
Tekken Tag Tournament
subdirectory_arrow_right Tekken Tag Tournament (Game)
1
The console version of Tekken Tag Tournament is very different from the arcade version.

The arcade version was simply an upgrade kit for Tekken 3 and ran on the same 32 bit engine, utilizing the same graphics. However, when ported to the PlayStation 2, it received a huge upgrade to the graphics along with upgraded music tracks, additional stages and music to go with them.

The 2 versions play similarly, although there are some noticeable differences in gameplay, such as some attacks being more efficient in the arcade version and vice versa.
Persona 3
1
According to Aram Jabbari, Assistant Manager of Public Relations and Sales, Persona 3's "M" rating in the United States is due to cultural differences between Japan and the USA.
