Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
1
Attachment The battle backgrounds are actually 512 pixels wide by 256 pixels tall. However, only a 240x160 pixel area is visible during play, a little more than 25% of the total image. It's possible that they were intended to scroll during battle. The final battle has some scrolling, and the concept was later used in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
1
Attachment In the Swamp of Evil, where the Misery Mire dungeon is located, there are three enemies that do not load properly, rendering them invisible. Despite this, they can still attack and take damage, though will remain unseen by the player.

These invisible enemies are Ku, some of which can be seen in the Swamp of Evil. The ones that do load properly are positioned in the deep water of the swamp, while the invisible ones are located in shallow water. It's likely the enemies were only programmed to function in deep water, and thus either the terrain was different during development, or the enemies were simply misplaced.
Skylanders: Giants
1
Attachment Within the game's data are two unused characters. One of them is simply named "Debug Minion", and was probably used for testing. The other, Sniper, appears as a green-skinned troll with a large pistol and sniper rifle, similar to an earlier design of Boomer. However, his stats screen displays a red version of Spyro.

1
The early form of Twinsanity, known as Crash Bandicoot Evolution, was a quest based game revolving around Crash trying his to help the "Gaudi" people. This would have usually resulted in him causing more problems than he solved.
Quake II
1
Quake II is not a direct sequel to Quake, and only shares the name because the developers were unable to acquire trademarks on any of the names they had considered for the game. They eventually got fed up with the repeated rejections, and decided to just call the game Quake II because they already owned the trademark on it.

1
Even though Logan is seen wearing the crown in the trailer and pictures, he is never seen with it in game.

The game's head designer, Ed Annunziata, has stated that Pink Floyd served as an inspiration for the music in the Ecco games. One of the game's levels is named "New Machine", a possible reference to the Pink Floyd song "A New Machine".
Ecco the Dolphin
1
Ed Annunziata, the game's head designer, cited English progressive rock band Pink Floyd as a major influence on the game's music. The band's 1971 song "Echoes" may be the origin for the protagonist's name, and one of the game's final levels, "Welcome To The Machine", may be a reference to the band's 1975 song of the same name.
Divekick
1
Mr. N is based on both Street Fighter IV's Rufus and fighting game legend Martin "Marn" Phan.
Ecco: The Tides of Time
1
Attachment In an early prototype build, the Dark Future segment of the game was slightly different. There was also a "cyborg dolphin" boss that was removed from the final release. It was said to be a mini-boss that also had a machine that would drop canisters that would break upon landing. The machine, having not been finished at the time of the prototype yet, uses a crab for a placeholder.

Super Bomberman 5
1
Attachment A tenth playable character called Subordinate Bomber was planned to be in the game, but was cut for unknown reasons. He can still be played by hacking the game and has a complete set of character animations, but has no character icon in the player select screen. The game will freeze on the victory screen because he has no voice clips.
Grand Theft Auto V
1
In an interview with Playboy Magazine, Sam Houser admitted that he got his mother, veteran actress Geraldine Moffat, to do some voice and mo-cap work for Grand Theft Auto V. While she is uncredited in the game, it is widely believed by many that she played Trevor Phillips' mother. They look similar, her actress is not credited, and she has an uncharacteristically English accent for a woman who is supposed to be Canadian.
Epic Mickey
1
Attachment Originally, if Mickey used too much thinner when he was in his 'scrapper' mood, he would've turned into a design called 'Thinner Mickey'. Every evil action that Mickey would have done erased his paint and showed more of his basic line-art. The idea was eventually scrapped due to the Disney company not wishing to tarnish Mickey's 'heroic' attitude.
