Attachment The dinosaurs were intended to have a complex AI controlled by an emotion system. However, the dinosaurs had rapid mood swings, sometimes switching behaviors so quickly that they just stood in one place and twitched. Not having time to fix the system, the developers worked around it by disabling most of the behaviors and increasing their anger and hunger levels.

In the Industrial Jungle level, there are a few raptors that the developers missed. One of them will walk around, but won't attack the player. Two more appear later in the level that will follow the player and sniff her, but will attack her if they are attacked or hurt themselves.

According to the first Twisted Metal game, Darkside would have been the first boss in the L.A. level. It would have had a flatbed for what would have been the only time in any of its appearances. It can still be seen in the background of the options menu.
Franchise: Final Fantasy
1
The Final Fantasy series is known for its many religious references such as churches and real-life religious symbols being in the games, as well as borrowing names of fictional/mythical creatures for enemies or summons. However, some games go much deeper, alluding to different schools of thought and/or the mysticism of various religions.
• Final Fantasy IV bases the conflict between Kain and Cecil off of the biblical story of Cain and Abel, and even alludes to it with an in-game item.
• Kefka is thought to represent the Antichrist or even Satan himself.
• Sephiroth is also thought to represent the Antichrist or Lucifer. His design is similar to a fallen angel's.
• Final Fantasy X is centered on the corruption of organized religion. It is also thought that Tidus is meant to represent Jesus.
• The concept of l'Cie is an allusion to religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism where the point of living is to reach to the afterlife, and if you don't succeed in your current life, you simply try again and again.
Final Fantasy VII
2
Final Fantasy VII heavily references the Lurian Kabbalah [kah-ball-a]. Kabbalah is a Jewish school of thought that also refers to the mysticism of Judaism and Gnosticism, a collection of ancient religions. Not only does FFVII draw from the beliefs of these religions, but it incorporates what actually happened to the followers in real life, as well as using Hebrew in the formation of character names. A few examples are:

• The Gnostics were persecuted, like the Cetra.
• Sephiroth's name comes from the term Sefirot (meaning "counting" or "enumeration"), which refers to the ten aspects of God in the Tree of Life.
• The sixth sefira in Tree of Life is beauty, known in Hebrew as Tif'eret {ti-fah-ret}. It is possible that this is how Tifa's name was derived.
Mortal Kombat 3
1
Shao Kahn was voiced by Steve Ritchie, who was working at Williams Electronics as a pinball and video game designer at the time.
Franchise: Metal Gear

In an interview with GameInformer, Hideo Kojima said that inconsistencies in the Metal Gear canon come from prioritizing each game's message over the series continuity:

"One thing that I try not to do is sacrifice certain things just so I can keep the original story intact. Sometimes I need to accept these inconsistencies in order to be able to achieve what I want for the story."
Super Mario 3D World
1
The idea of the 'Clear Pipe' came from the game's producer, Koichi Hayashida, wondering "What's Mario up to while he's in there?" while travelling through the iconic green warp pipes of the series.

1
Attachment A spiritual successor to the game was in development which internally went under the title We Are The Mods. The game was set during the mods and rockers brawls of the 1960s in England. It was originally intended to be on the PlayStation 2 but development was later switched over to the Xbox 360. Work began on the game in 2006 by Rockstar Toronto but it was later canceled with some environment and weapon models still existing for it.

Fallout 2
1
The in-game description and model suggest that Bozar was intended to be a Sniper Rifle, rather than an inaccurate, automatic, heavy support weapon with a scope. It's likely that it was either repurposed during development, or mistakenly given the statistics of an automatic weapon and never fixed.
American McGee's Alice
1
In a prerelease trailer for the game, the background music is a reprise of several songs spliced together from Sleepy Hollow and Edward Scissorhands, both composed by Danny Elfman.
Banjo-Tooie

Three of the characters in the game (Chris P Bacon, Old King Coal and Bullion Bill) were not actually named by Rare, but by members of the British public. Nintendo Official Magazine in the UK held a competition where the winners would receive a copy of the game once it hit shelves as well as a signed poster and their suggested name being used in the final game.
EarthBound

Shigesato Itoi revealed in a 2003 interview that Tony, Jeff's roommate at the Snow Wood Boarding House in Winters, is homosexual:

"Well, for example, there's a gay person in MOTHER 2. A really passionate friend who lives in an England-like place. I designed him to be a gay child. In a normal, real-life society, there are gay children, and I have many gay friends as well. So I thought it would be nice to add one in the game, too."
