The Game Gear and Master System version of Daffy Duck in Hollywood has a set of 3 cheat codes - the first 2 being a stage select code and an invincibility code. If you enter those in that order and then the third code, Daffy's sprite will be replaced with a digitized image of Probe founder Fergus McGovern.

The character Andre Richardson from Yakuza 3 is notorious for speaking in poor English despite him being American, with one line especially where he says:
In saying the line, "roof" is pronounced more as "ruff". This meme was referenced with his return in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where in the English dub, after Ichiban spends a night at the bar he runs, he says the line:
And during this line he says the word roof in a similar matter.
"If you're looking for Daigo, Mine's taken him up to the roof."

• Section 11-6: Spoiler:"...(Does that mean Altria's and Oberon's eyes are-)"
• Section 12-1: Spoiler:"(Even from so early on...?)"
• Section 13-1: Spoiler:"Come to think of it, you never did tell us about your summoning, Oberon."
• Section 16-5: Spoiler:"...(There's something I should double-check with Oberon...)" Choosing this option also reveals an extended sequence where Oberon reveals he hired Koyanskya to take care of Morgan's reinforcements during the siege of Londinium.
• Section 20-4: Spoiler:"...(But, if I do that...)"
• Section 23-4: Spoiler:"...Maybe it's because she can tell when someone is lying?"
• Section 23-6: Spoiler:"Even though you said it doesn't exist here?"
By selecting these options when prompted, special red dialogue options appear after beating Spoiler:Cernunos and Spoiler:Grimr The Sage declares himself the only Servant summoned from Proper Human History. These red dialogue options reveal that the player figured out Oberon was tricking them into playing along with his scheme, and that he was lying about his motives and goals the entire time.

The four paintings in Spyro: Year of the Dragon's Midday Gardens are signed with the signature "Parvinder". This was the name of the deceased mother of Redditor TheChronoShadow, who was a Spyro fan, and was added in response to a campaign from Shadow asking for Activision to provide an early copy of the game to play with his mother before she passed away.

In the cutscenes for Kat & Ana's stage in WarioWare: Move It!, Cractus from Wario Land 4 appears. This is the first time a Wario Land character has appeared in the cutscenes of a WarioWare game.
In the Japanese version of Move It!, Cractus has a slightly different name from the Cractus that appeared in Wario Land 4.
The latter game's Cractus was called フラワナ, or Furawana, a pun on "flower" and「罠」(wana, trap). The former that appears in Move It! however is called フラワニ, or Furawani, a pun on "flower" and「鰐」(wani, crocodile). This name change could mean the character was renamed, or the Cractus in Move It! is meant to represent a different individual from the same species.

The Tails Doll from Sonic R can be found in Pinball Carnival Zone Act 2, floating at the end of an exploding rollercoaster. However, the coaster's momentum would make most players automatically speed past and not notice him. When you jump and touch him, he will turn into a gold coin. His inclusion in the haunted level may be a reference to his status as the subject of various creepypastas.

For contributing a $100+ donation to the game's Kickstarter campaign, backers could choose to join a clan to appear under in the end credits. Six "Sword or Whip" Clans (connected to a vote on if Miriam's personal weapon should be a sword or a whip) were dedicated to voting on which sword or whip would be the most powerful weapon in the game (Clan Katana was the winner with the Grand Izayoi sword), while the remaining eighteen clans were Community or YouTube Partner Clans, who would each receive codes for specific items.
The Community Clans were represented by two Castlevania fan communities: the Dungeon clan (The Castlevania Dungeon forums), and the Operation Akumajo clan (a Facebook group spun off from these forums dedicated to promoting the series after its 25th anniversary in 2011). The participating YouTubers and companies were associated with Fangamer, a game merchandising company who managed the game's Kickstarter campaign. To unlock one of the Community/YouTube Partner Clan items, you must enter its respective code as the name for a save file, and as such only one clan item can be unlocked per file. The participating clans and their codes include:
Community Clans:
• The Castlevania Dungeon: DUNGEONITE - unlocks the Dungeonite sword
• Operation Akumajo: Akuma - unlocks the Dominus sword
YouTube Partner Clans:
• ProtonJon: EGGFARM - unlocks the Guardian Egg Helm (referencing a quote by Albert Wesker from Resident Evil 5)
• chuggaaconroy: chuggaconroy - unlocks the Space Helmet (referencing the helmet worn by Olimar from the Pikmin series)
• NintendoCapriSun: INTHEBATHROOM - unlocks the Dumping Helmet (a bathroom-themed in-joke from his content)
• JoshJepson: JEPSON - unlocks the Clockwork Blade (origin unknown)
• StephenPlays: STEPHENPLAYS - unlocks the Sicilian Slicer (a pizza-themed sword, Pizza both being the name of his dog and a recurring subject of vlogs)
• SwimmingBird941: swimmingbird - unlocks the Plague Doctor Face (possibly a reference to the anime "Cowboy Bebop", as series protagonist Spike Spiegel is referred to as "Swimming Bird" by the Native American medicine man Laughing Bull)
• Far From Subtle: AWESOMEVIDEOGAMES - unlocks the Big Mustache (an in-joke from their series VideoGames AWESOME!)
• The Speed Gamers: TheSpeedGamers - unlocks the Final Hour sword (a speedrunning-themed sword)
• Egoraptor: Egoraptor - unlocks Hey I'm Grump (a helmet of Arin Hanson's stylized head from Game Grumps' intro)
• Game Grumps: Grumps - unlocks I'm Not So Grump (a helmet of Dan Avidan's stylized head from Game Grumps' intro)
• Mega64: Jarvis Meower - unlocks the Mega64 Helmet (a collage of various recurring in-jokes from Mega64)
• Kinda Funny Games: TEAMFAT - unlocks A Kinda Funny Mask (the company's logo, the code being a reference to the in-joke #TeamFat)
• The Zaibatsu Clan (Super Best Friends Play): BULLFIGHTER - unlocks The-Baz Mask (a mask based on an original character they created who has made cameo appearances in various games)
• AlphaOmegaSin: ALPHAOMEGASIN - unlocks the Darkness Descends sword (referencing the album of the same name by American thrash metal band Dark Angel, which AlphaOmegaSin has described as "one of my go-to albums")
• Game Sack: 8MEGAPOWER - unlocks the Game Sack Strip sword (referencing an in-joke regarding various novelty power strips)
• Vinesauce: SPONGYVINE - unlocks the Vine Sword (a sword themed around game glitch/corruption content with the green "Vineshroom" as the sword's helm, and the code's name being derived from the recurring in-joke character Sponge, the depressed third Mario brother)

The Official Star Fox Missile File Printout guidebook released alongside the original Star Fox on SNES in Japan mentions two pilots, Desla Koba and Bear Noguccini, who don't appear anywhere in the game proper. They were said to be two of the most capable members in the Cornerian Defense Force, who had previously embarked in cutting-edge Arwing scouting vessels.
Both were said to have mysteriously disappeared. It is said later on in the guidebook that Desla Koba had disappeared in the Asteroid Belt when he came across a mysterious giant space bird, and upon trying to inspect it, he ended up being warped into another dimension, known in-game as "Out of this Dimension". Similarly, Bear was last seen in Sector Y, where he encountered the mysterious space whale before losing all contact, never to be seen again.
Desla Koba would actually be mentioned again in Star Fox 64's official Japanese guidebook, with a similar backstory that he had in the Missile File Printout guidebook. Here, it is said that he led a unit conducting an investigation in Meteo (SF64's equivalent to the Asteroid Belt from SF1), only for communications to suddenly be cut off as he'd apparently entered the stage's warp zone, which simultaneously led to him crashing his aircraft on the nearby planet of Katina. This was said to have occurred more than 10 years prior to the events of Star Fox 64.
Both Desla Koba and Bear Noguccini's surnames seem to come from two of the editors of the Mission File Printout guidebook: Hitoshi Kobayashi and Yukata Noguchi.

In the Easter egg "Developer's Grove" area that is unlocked upon donating 10,000 Rapo-Coins to the Wishing Well, one of the developers will inform the player that there is a "secret flower" hidden in the game that can bring the Mayor, who dies in the final world, back from the dead - while another developer tells the player that the other developer is lying. There is no secret flower.
