Pressing L2 & R2 and L1 & R1 on the title screen will trigger two secret variations of the opening animation. The first shows Popka jumping on top of Klonoa just after he jumps in the air, sending him to the ground as he shouts "Wahoo!". The second features Lolo running just behind Klonoa, with the sound of her tripping and falling taking the place of Klonoa's "Wahoo!" in the title screen song.

Famitsu's guidebook for Lunatea's Veil holds a development history section that lists Klonoa's entire redesign process. Early ideas consist of a Mickey Mouse-esque version of the character, an overalls outfit, and many different ear styles.
