Shortly after Infinity Nikki's launch on December 5, 2024, both its official website as well as the website for Love and Deepspace were hacked by an unknown individual to display a message encouraging the reader to either commit suicide or join a private Genshin Impact Discord server, alongside a QR code advertising the server. The websites went down for about an hour, though no significant damage was done, with a representative stating:


Infinity Nikki and Genshin Impact have been compared to one another due to both being free-to-play gacha games made by Chinese developers, with the two having an overlap in playerbases as a result. While the gameplay is different between the two, the former has been described as both a "dress-up Genshin Impact" and a "Genshin Impact killer" by various review sites.
