There were plans to include a vampire character in Killer Instinct 2, however the idea was eventually scrapped. The vampire's stage theme, "Bloodlust", however, was salvaged and made into the theme of Count Batula in Conker's Bad Fur Day.

A vampire character wouldn't be added to the Killer Instinct series until 2016, with the release of Killer Instinct's season 3 character Mira.

According to page 111 of the official Nintendo Power Player's Guide, Conker comments about Banjo & Kazooie being on the cover of Nintendo Power, stating that he will never be in the magazine's cover. This statement turned out to be true; as of Nintendo Power's final issue published in 2012, Conker never did appear on the cover of the magazine.

According to page 93 of the official Nintendo Power Player's Guide, Conker recommends playing Perfect Dark, another Rare game on the Nintendo 64.

According to page 89 of the official Nintendo Power Player's Guide, a savings deposit slip states that Conker lives at 12 Oak Tree Lane #4, 60329-1677.

On page 75 of the official Nintendo Power Player's Guide, Conker references the 1987 film "Full Metal Jacket", stating "What is your major malfunction, Private Pyle of Poo? I have flushed turds with more potential down the toilet!"

According to page 74 of the official Nintendo Power Player's Guide, Conker refers to Rodent as "Private Milquetoast". Whether this is Rodent's actual surname or not, Milquetoast is slang for a meek or timid person, which describes Rodent’s personality.

According to page 73 of the official Nintendo Power Player's Guide, Conker writes "MR. RED. IN THE CONSERVATORY. WITH THE SHOTGUN." This is a reference to the board game Clue.

On page 32 of the official Nintendo Power Player's Guide, Conker states "I am sooo scared. I just want to say to Berri’s mum…I'm sooo sorry. This was all my idea. This was my project." This is a reference to the 1999 film "The Blair Witch Project".

Also on this page is Conker's last will and testament, which includes giving his collection of Gor books (referencing the novels by John Norman), novelty pint glasses and "squirrely mags" to his friends at the Cock and Plucker. The rest of Conker's possessions are left to Berri, unless she takes up with another weasel.

On page 31 of the official Nintendo Power Player's Guide, Conker name drops Nintendo's mascot Mario, stating "I bet Mario never got a stinger up his arse!"

According to page 28 of the official Nintendo Power Player's Guide, Conker has owned his water wings (which he used up until taking confidence pills in order to swim in the Sloprano chapter of the game) since a hot tub party that Berri had once.

According to page 17 of the official Nintendo Power Player's Guide, Conker's tab at the Cock & Plucker pub in the opening cutscene has the following information:

• The Cock and Plucker is addressed at 200 Squirrel Tail Road.
• The tab is dated for March 5, 2001. This is the original release date for the game.
• Conker's tab includes 3 Draft Beers, 20 Tequila Shots, 6 Gin & Tonic (with Water crossed out), 5 Whiskey Sours, and 2 Double Scotch, totaling to an amount of $173.

According to page 16 of the official Nintendo Power Player's Guide, Conker's Wanted poster has the following information:
• Conker is 145 centimeters tall
• The Panther King lives at One Spooky Canyon Blvd. Windy
• Conker's bounty is $1000

The $1000 bounty is in reference to having the pay the toll to the Weasel Guards in order to progress to Uga Buga, the sixth chapter of the game. Conker’s mention of the locals not being familiar with zoology also references Conker passing off as an elephant and not a squirrel to the Weasel Guards.

According to page 15 of the official Nintendo Power Player's Guide, the concept of the Panther King being a mythical story apparently comes from a fictitious book called "The Little Book of Fairy Panther King Tales" by Mattias Fisherias.

According to page 15 of the official Nintendo Power Player's Guide, Conker’s military dog tag identifies his rank as Private and the serial number as #842-D-899221-89E. However, in the game he wears a helmet that has two chevrons on it resembling the Corporal rank in the U.S. Army.

According to page 14 of the official Nintendo Power Player's Guide, Conker states that although things didn't work out between him and Jugga, she apparently gave her loincloth to him, which he uses as a sleeping bag.

According to page 7 of the official Nintendo Power Player's Guide, Conker mentions that Banjo's stuffed head was bought by the owner of the tavern from "some witch". Not only does this reference Gruntilda from the Banjo-Kazooie series, but it also could be referencing the fact that Chris Seavor, the voice of Conker, is also the voice of Gruntilda.

The SHC squirrels originally held a green Walkie Talkie in the It's War chapter. While it isn't present in the game under normal circumstances, it can be restored via a hacking device.

An unused laptop can be found in the game's files. The screen on the laptop says "Look sad people. Get a life now."

Chris Seavor has stated that his favorite character to voice in the game was The Professor (Von Kripplespac).

The game was published in Europe by THQ instead of Nintendo of Europe due to the latter believing that localizing it in Europe wouldn't be commercially viable.

In a statement, Nintendo of Europe said:
"Nintendo of Europe decided against publishing the game following a full commercial appraisal. It is the policy of Nintendo of Europe to translate our games into the native language of the region where it will be released and due to its text-heavy content, the cost of localising Conker's Bad Fur Day would not be commercially viable."
