Demitri's Midnight Bliss attack turns Zangief into "Zangyura-chan, the little tangerine vending Russian girl". The name is based on a typo made by Gamest magazine while they were covering a Street Fighter 2 Turbo location test, stating that "By pressing all kick buttons, Zangyura can do a very quick Super Uriajjō, without collision detection in his legs" (ザンギュラはキックボタン3つ同時押しで足に判定のない、早めの回転のスーパーウリアッ上が出せる。).
The visual design of Zangyura, as well as the fact she sells oranges is based upon Russian cartoon character Čeburaška, who in one film was discovered in a crate full of oranges.
