At one point, Backbone Entertainment was developing a PlayStation 2 game based on the animated series "¡Mucha Lucha!" titled "¡Mucha Lucha!: Mysterioso Grande". According to game artist Ken Cope, it would have allowed up to four players to play, contained levels such as "The School" and "The Arena", and featured almost every character from the show as a playable character. The game was nearly finished and was originally planned to be published by Ubisoft Entertainment, but Ubisoft would cancel the game in 2004 after the show was not renewed for further episodes due to poor ratings.
