Watch Dogs
1
While modding the PC version, a user by the name of "The Worse" found almost all of the shaders and graphical improvements present in the 2012 and 2013 trailers for the game. It's possible that the PC version's graphics were downgraded so that it would not make the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions look drastically inferior by comparison.
Spyro 2: Season of Flame
1
Attachment On the back of the European box, it states that Spyro can swim. However, in the final game, this feature was removed and Spyro does not swim at any point during the game.
Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!
1
In demos of the game, the ability to Roll (like in the first game) is present. This was removed in the final version of the game.
Super Paper Mario
1
Attachment In the game's coding, there are a total of 9 unused enemies, some of which were present in the first Paper Mario game.
Fur Fighters
1
Attachment At one stage during development, bosses would have names for each of their attacks, which would be displayed on-screen. For example, Gwynth's main attack was known as 'Roof Breath'.
Croc 2
1
Attachment An underwater level can be seen in an early trailer. However, it was cut, and in the final game, Croc does not swim underwater in any level.
Pikmin 2
1
About 30% of the game's floor layout files are unused.
Banjo-Kazooie
1
The original sound for collecting an Egg changed in development. It's not know why it was scrapped, but it might have been because the sound became rather annoying when collecting large amounts of eggs.
Banjo-Kazooie
1
Attachment There is a unused test map in the game's data. It consists of 8 slopes arranged in a circle formation. This test map was most likely made to test Banjo's climbing ability.
J-Stars Victory Vs
1
Files found on the game disc suggest that there was originally supposed to be an in-game announcer that would narrate character introductions, combination bonuses, victory bursts, and various other aspects of the game.
South Park: The Stick of Truth
1
Attachment Certain elements from the game were mentioned in Gameinformer, but never made it into the finished product of the game. Some of them were reworked and scrapped all together. There were plans for showing the kingdoms of the Underpants Gnomes and Crabpeople, fighting hippies, a sidemission where the new kid has to rescue Cartman's Polly Prissy Pants doll from the ginger kids, and an enemy dragon (that may have been a boss at one point in the game) called The Thing.
Spyro: Year of the Dragon
1
Attachment Entering the code: Up, Up, Left, Left, Right, Right, Down, Down, Square, Circle, Square from the pause menu will cause Spyro's Skateboard to turn into a Squid. According to developer Brian Hastings, there was originally going to be a mini-game in Lost Fleet which involved riding a Squid. However, as the Squid didn't fit very well with the rest of the game, it was transformed into a Skateboard. It was kept in as a cheat for sentimental reasons.
Diddy Kong Racing
1
Attachment There are two unused characters and an unused vehicle left in the game that are accessible only with cheat devices. The first is one of the pterodactyls found in Hot Top Volcano, who share the behavior of a boss. The second is a Snowball which will only move when the player is not looking. And finally, there is a Hovercar vehicle which acts very similar to the plane, except it does not descend when left in mid-air.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game
1
Attachment Jason Hawes and Adam Berry from the TV Series Ghost Hunters were originally going to be in the video game, but were removed before the game was released.

"The two guys in the elevator after the Stay Puft street stage are two Sony executives. They were originally supposed to be the two guys from Ghost Hunters. We made the heads and everything, but couldn't work out all the legal stuff in time, so we defaulted to the Sony execs that wanted to be in the game." - Jesse Sosa
Skullgirls
1
Attachment The Cathedral stage has pictures of Venus and Aeon seen in the stained glass windows. Both characters have only been seen in Double's ending, and had a chance of being downloadable characters during the game's Indiegogo campaign, but they were not chosen.
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
1
Attachment There is a sound clip in the game's data for when Diddy and Dixie transform inside an Animal Buddy Barrel. However, the clip is called too late in the game's coding and is on the same channel as the barrel breaking, and thus cannot be heard.
Fallout 2
1
Attachment There are three unused perk/reputation statuses in the game.
"Virgin of the Wastes" is a status that has no actual effect on the gameplay. It can naturally be removed after sleeping with any sex-specific characters. The description for it reads "You really need to get out more. Your sexual exploits have been... well, two dimensional." "Alcohol Addiction" is a status that was to be used for when the player ends up building an addiction to alcohol-related items in the game. It has no coding associated with it, just the art and description. "You have a problem with alcohol. Actually, you have many problems with your drinking habits." "Tragic Addition" is another addiction status that would have occurred after using a pack of Tragic Cards, which is a reference to Magic the Gathering. The effect would stop map travel periodically to say "You feel a burning desire to open another box of Tragic cards."
Mega Man X3
1
Attachment A picture on the back of the game's box shows a vertical boss door leading into Blast Hornet's boss fight. This door is actually still present in the game in the space above the boss room, but it's normally inaccessible because of the layout of the level.
Mega Man Soccer
1
Dr. Wily was meant to be a playable character unlocked by beating the game, however the final release of the game does not play all of the ending, so the game never reaches the trigger that unlocks Wily. Wily can still be accessed via hacking or using a cheat device.
The Basement Collection
1
On top of the seven included games (plus the two secret ones), there are four more older games hidden away as raw SWF files in the steamapps/common/basement/moregames folder. These are:

• Clubby The Seal (2004)
• Viviparous Dumpling (2005)
• Carious Welting (2003)
• Carious Welting 2 (2005).

Unlike the other games in the collection, these are unaltered from their original Newgrounds release.
