Company: Nintendo
1
On average, Nintendo has released a new console every 5-6 years.
Trials of Mana
1
Attachment There seems to be a planned boss in the place where the party meets Jagan for the first time in Bucca Island that was removed prior to release that can only be accessed by using Action Replay on sample cartridges of the game. The boss's body is submerged under the water and attacks with two tentacles.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations
1
Attachment In Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations, if you enter Free Battle mode, select "Versus Battle", select the "1P vs. 2P" option, complete one match with supports, go back to the Free Battle mode selection screen, select Training mode, press B (or circle for PS3) on a support-only slot, you will be able to play as them. They have no Awakenings, B (or circle) combos, or voices and can only use their normal jutsu, powered chakra shurikens, normal dash, guarding, and normal walking. Attempting to do a side ninja dash (Left or Right on the Analog Stick and double A or X) will lock up your player unless you press your D-pad either left or right. Even though they are in an unplayable state, it suggests that all of the support-only characters were going to be fully playable since under normal circumstances support-only characters don't use their walking animations.
Pokémon Puzzle League
1
Attachment Hidden inside the code are two unused voice clips. They are presumably from staff issuing a little message to loved ones, as one is in Japanese and reads "Yumi-chan, I love you" and the other reads "I love you Liz."
Secret of Evermore
1
Originally, the title for "Secret of Evermore" was simply, "Evermore." Squaresoft decided to add "Secret of" only a month before the game shipped, hoping that title familiarity with the already released "Secret of Mana" would benefit sales.
Secret of Evermore
1
Attachment If the player waits for approximately thirty minutes after "THE END?" is on screen, an additional message appears, stating, "You're a patient one, aren't you? Well, here's another cryptic credit, just for you..." Followed by the lone credit, "DOLLY GRIP Brian Fehdrau." This is a joke credit attributed to lead programmer, Brian Fehdrau.
Secret of Evermore
1
Attachment Surprisingly, there is a third hidden message in the credits beyond Carltron's, "THE END?" and "DOLLY GRIP Brian Fehdrau," that reads, "It's Bill's fault." This message appears very briefly before the screen fades to black.

According to Fehdrau, the lead programmer, "It's Bill's fault" was an inside joke regarding Bill Kristiansen, another one of the programmers working on the game, who had "a particular habit of being at fault when [a build of the game] was busted."
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
1
Attachment In the beta version of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Ike was known as Paris. Priam, a character from Fire Emblem: Awakening, claims to be a descendant of Ike and his Japanese name is Paris.
Pocky & Rocky
1
Throughout the first two levels, the Nopino are based on Yokai from Japanese folklore, including monsters such as Tengu, Kappa, Tsukumogami, as well as others. However, the Gorgonzola Goblins revealed at the end of Stage 2 and beyond have a more Western feel, mainly European and some Middle Eastern. These include pirates, knights, bishops, a Vampire, a Harpy (Exclusive to the Japanese Version), a Kraken, and a Genie.
Skylanders: Giants
2
The first animation test for Skylanders Giants was a 300x scaled up version of a regular Skylander.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
1
Attachment Mr. Write is likely based on an advisor in the original SimCity, who had a nearly-identical appearance and name, Dr. Wright. The theme that plays in Mr. Write's house is also from the SNES version of SimCity, where it serves as Dr. Wright's theme.
The Secret of Monkey Island
1
Allegedly, Dave Grossman, one of the game's designers, had suggested the idea that the Giant Monkey Head would be a giant robot but the idea was dismissed. The concept would however later be used in the forth installment, "Escape from Monkey Island".
Doom II: Hell on Earth
1
According to Bobby Prince, the Arch-vile is an evil healer, who blasts his way through demons, but then reanimates all of them. The Dual Personality gave him the idea of giving it an evil laugh.

The laugh itself is of a young girl saying "why" with the pitched shifted down, and mixed with other sound. This was done as the Arch-vile doesn't understand why anyone would want to kill him as he sees himself as only doing good for his fellow demon.
Franchise: Dead or Alive
1
The series gets it's name from a wager that the lead programer, Tomonobu Itagaki, made with the head of Tecmo. Itagaki assured the president he would create a video game that would garner a competent fan base. He named the series "Dead or Alive" to demonstrate that the company's future rested on the game's success.
Silent Hill 2
2
Guy Cihi, who played James Sunderland, was only present at the auditions because he was escorting his daughter there. After reading a script in the break room, he asked if he could read for the part of James.
Bully
1
Attachment For the original PlayStation 2 release, Bully was renamed in PAL regions to Canis Canem Edit which is Latin for "Dog Eat Dog." Canis Canem Edit is Bullworth Academy's motto and the game's tagline in non-PAL regions.
Pokémon Black Version

1
The GTS has a filter to prevent Pokémon with inappropriate nicknames from being traded. However this prevented Pokémon, such as Cofagrigus, from being traded without nicknaming it because their name contains a keyword. This has been mostly fixed but some Pokémon, such as Nosepass, are still unable to be traded without a nickname.
Pokémon FireRed Version
subdirectory_arrow_right Pokémon LeafGreen Version (Game)
1
The reason that LeafGreen is the intentional release instead of WaterBlue is that Junichi Masuda, the game director, wanted an icon of peace (which is what leaf is said to represent) instead of an icon that conflicts with the image of fire used by the other game.
1
Nintendo was originally going to release a home computer in place of the NES. Known as the Advanced Video System, or the AVS, it was going to be a home computer with a heavy gaming twist.
Viewtiful Joe
1
The game once had the working title of "Red Hot Man," until it was changed due to copyright conflicts with the rock band, Red Hot Chili Peppers.
