Metropolis Street Racer
1
According to the Developers of Metropolis Street Racer, to record the audio for the cars, they rented a Mercedes SLK. They tested the car on a test track with microphones attached to the car, recording the sound of each gear until, unexpectedly, the engine blew.

They had to tow the car to a country lane where they could call the AA. They fixed the engine and returned the car but unfortunately, the hire company saw the SLK's engine management report and billed Sega thousands for a replacement engine.

1
Attachment In the PC version of the game, there are a number of unfinished textures and loading screens from Star Wars: Battlefront 3. It was rumored that Slant Six Games was developing Battlefront 3 before it was ultimately cancelled.
Phantasmagoria
1
There were supposed to be more scenes of Adrienne and Don as a "normal" couple at the beginning of the game to show the change in Don's personalty over the course of the game. The scenes were cut to have more emphasis on the gameplay.
Art of Fighting
1
Attachment If a player finishes off King with a special or super move in round two, it will shred his shirt, revealing that he is female. This was removed from the SNES version.
Kingdom Hearts
1
Attachment The ending to the beta trailer for the game shown at E3 2001 featured an alternate logo. The word "Kingdom" is shown in normal golden text while the word "Hearts" is displayed in a modified version of the final logo's spiky text. The trademark heart is also missing from this version of the logo.

Attachment According to Yuji Ishihara, there was once a GameCube controller that looked like a PET that was meant to be released with the game. Concept art for the controller can be found in the book Mega Man Battle Network Official Complete Works.
Franchise: Tetris
1
Because the game was made using Soviet Union resources, none of the developers received any royalties when the game was first released.
Mega Man 7
1
In Shade Man's stage, right before you fight him, you will encounter Bass. In the SNES version he says "Damn!", while in the Anniversary Collection, it was changed to "Darn!". This was most likely done to avoid a Teen rating for the game (as the E10+ rating had not been made at the time of the original release).
Mega Man 8
1
Bass's name is mispronounced throughout the game. In the game, his name is pronounced "bass" (like the fish), however his name is meant to be read as "base," since his and Treble's names come from the bass and treble clefs. This has lead to much confusion on how to pronounce his name.
Alice: Madness Returns
1
Spicy Horse executive producer R.J. Berg wanted Alice to use the umbrella to glide around like Mary Poppins but it was cut due to "technical complexities". The umbrella was supposed to be the main weapon used in both fighting and exploration.
Franchise: F-Zero
1
Attachment The name "F-Zero" is derived from "Formula-One Racing." (F-1). Both have Grand Prixs (F-1 having circuits built world-wide and F-Zero having circuits built galactic-wide) and both use the best "racing technology" for said Grand Prixs.
Hotline Miami
1
Attachment Hotline Miami was heavily influenced by the 2011 film "Drive" directed by Nicolas Winding Refn. Refn is also given a special thanks in the game's credits.
Guitar Hero
1
The song Spanish Castle Magic by Jimi Hendrix is played as an instrumental in the game, but there are lyrics to the song. The version in the game was supposed to include the vocals, but they were removed because the Hendrix Estate did not wish to have Jimi Hendrix's voice impersonated.
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
1

1
Tetris got its name by creator Alexey Pajitnov combining the words 'tetra' and 'tennis'. Tetra is a Greek numerical prefix meaning 'four', and tennis was Alexey's favorite sport.
Mortal Kombat
1
In the audit menu of the arcade version, there is a useless row of text that says "ERMACS" (which stands for Error Macros) and is listed under "Reptile Battles." Because of this, players thought that Ermac was a hidden boss like Reptile. Ermac became a running joke for the developers, so much so that they even made him a real character for Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, with his BIO saying he was hiding in the first Mortal Kombat.
Grand Theft Auto
1
Attachment The game was intentionally given controversial press coverage thanks to the game's PR expert, Max Clifford. Paid by Rockstar, negative press was used because they knew the controversy would help boost sales.
LEGO Island

There are six audio files on the game's disc containing unused dialogue for the Infomaniac. These voice lines include:

• Two lines where he says to put the disc back into your computer, as if you had ejected it. These sounds are never played, as the game will crash when ejecting the CD.
• One line where he warns you about entering a duplicate username, which in the final game will result in just using the already existing user, instead of overwriting it as suggested by the audio clip.
• Three lines where he describes scrapped, more complicated features for an earlier version of the registration book, including manual saving, loading, or starting a new game where you would be asked to click on red or green bricks. In the final game, you start a new game by typing in your name, load a game by clicking on a checkmark, and the game auto-saves. The red and green bricks were only used when asking if you want to quit the game.

A hastily edited version of one of the lines intended for CD removal is used in the cutscene that plays if the executable file is lauched without the CD inserted, where the word "back" is noticably removed from "Whoops! you have to put the CD back in your computer". Foreign language dubs of the game do not have an awkward cut, though some retain references to the CD being returned to the computer as opposed to simply being put in.
