Attachment After the big bar fight in the beginning of the game, if you walk over to the other side of the bar instead of following Sully, you can find a newspaper that reads, "Scientists are still struggling to understand deadly fungus." This is referencing the fungal infection in the game "The Last of Us." This easter egg was planned to be removed by the development team before the game was shipped (as they were not planning to reveal the game until much later) but forgot about it and released the game with the easter egg still in.

There's an alternate way to kill Draygon, the boss of Maridia. Destroying the cannons on the wall will cause electricity to flow out of the walls. If you grab on to the electricity with your Grapple Beam while Draygon is holding you, the electricity will flow through Samus and into Draygon, killing her in a few seconds.

In the computer room of the Shell 1 Core you encounter a parrot behind the same protective shield as Fortune. The parrot says things such as "HAL" and "Venus is Cancer". If the player uses the directional mic on the bird and says "You must be Ames" by pressing triangle enough times, the bird will repeat the phrase itself. Furthermore if you put the guards on alert enough times in that room the bird will begin to say some of their alert phrases as well.
