Attachment While Dogoo are an obvious reference to Slimes from Dragon Quest and the Giant Dogoo are an obvious reference to King Slimes, Red Dogoo have a slightly more interesting possible inspiration.

The Red Slimes, as they were known in Dragon Quest when the series was still being localized as Dragon Warrior, were made orange in Dragon Warrior VI, then renamed She-Slimes in Dragon Quest VIII alongside the franchise's localized name being changed.

This is most likely why Red Dogoo are pink and drop Orange Dogoo Jelly.

The irradiated workers in Area 52 originally used the gnome model, but used the goblin voice. As of patch 2.3.0, they use the goblin body. It is speculated that they used the gnome model because goblins couldn't wear helmets at the time of implementation. Lead Sapper Blastfizzle still uses a gnome model, however.
Franchise: Worms

According to Wormsong 2003 (the theme to Worms 3D), it's possible that Boggy B and Spadge were brothers.
Silent Hill 2

When Eddie Dombrowski is shown during the Dog Ending credits Mira starts growling. This is most likely in reference to Eddie having killed a dog before, it's speculated that Mira could even be the dog Eddie killed.

When Lord Raptor performs his special move, "Ultimate Undead", a small tune will sound which sounds strikingly similar to the introduction of Michael Jackson's song, "Bad".

Attachment An unused emblem for Kamek (or an unnamed Magikoopa) appears within the original Wii U version's files, suggesting he was intended to be a playable character at one stage during development. Kamek would later be added as a playable character in Wave 5 of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass.

Attachment Yagyū's name and eyepatch are likely meant to be a reference to Yagyū Jūbei Mitsuyosh, a renowned swordsman from Japanese history, who was said to have worn a sword's arm guard as an eyepatch.
Drakengard 3
1
Michael's prequel Novella suggests that he has met Angel and Legna, the playable dragons from Drakengard and Drakengrad 2. In the story, Michael dreams of his past companions, describing a red dragon who constantly watched his back and a black dragon who avoided conversing with him. Michael also exclaims that Red was about two thousand years older than him. The Red Dragon's official age in the first Drakengard is 10,000 year. This would make Michael 8,000 years old, despite his 12,000 year claim in the DLC.

Attachment Abe was named after Abraham from the Book of Genesis in the Bible. Abe also receives a message from his Ancestors, much like how Abraham receives a message from God, both of which involve putting an end to slavery.

Attachment Some fans have theorized that Jeff's father, Dr. Andonuts, is actually Loid from the original Mother grown up. This can be evidenced by thier similar hair color, glasses, and the fact that they both hide in garbage cans when frightened. It's also important to note that both Loid and Jeff can use bottle rockets as weapons during battle.
Five Nights at Freddy's

In the Artorias of the Abyss DLC, there is an NPC named "Marvelous Chester" in The Royal Woods. Like the chosen undead, Chester was pulled from his time period by Manus. Chester vaguely describes his era as Gothic/Victorian, his clothing also appears to be attire from the 19th century.

The character may have been included as a small hint as to what was coming up in Bloodborne.

When looking back at the player's bed, there's a rare possibility that they will see one of three items that will disappear when the player looks away. These are a pot of flowers, a bottle of pills or an IV Drip. These are items most likely found beside a hospital bed.

Spoiler:It's revealed at the end of the game that the protagonist is shoved into the mouth of an animatronic which bites down. It's theorized that this is the "Bite of 87" mentioned in the first game and that the game takes place in the mind of the victim who is in a coma due to the injury. However, other clues led people to believe that the game actually takes place in 1983, so it cannot be the infamous event of '87. It's possible that this event is actually a second bite incident that has not been mentioned in any previous games.
Etrian Mystery Dungeon
1
The Wanderer class' appearance is likely a reference to another Mystery Dungeon game, Shiren the Wanderer. Atlus and Spike Chunsoft, who developed Etrian Mystery Dungeon, have both also worked on the Shiren the Wanderer series.
The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy
1
In an early version of the console release, Billy's Backyard (the final stage of story mode) had 2 players fighting. This could imply that the game originally had co-op support for story mode or that the stage would have been playable in versus mode.

Attachment The texture for the Skull Kid assist trophy contains an unused portion which seems to be the flute he used in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. It is unknown what it could have been used for, though it's likley he was supposed to use it in some way when the player summons him.
Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures

The beginning of the Boss Battle theme sounds extremely similar to a segment of the track: "Porky Means Business!" from Earthbound.
Franchise: Mario

According to a interview with ABC News, when Shigeru Miyamoto was asked why Daisy and Wario aren't a part of the main Mario titles, Miyamoto replied that "Both Daisy and Wario were originally drawn as part of the "Mario Land" games and had the same illustrator. The art style of those games was different from the "Mario World" series with Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach, and for a long time that was the reason that we didn't have those characters enter into each other's stories." Despite this statement, Wario did appear in the DS update of Super Mario 64 and Mario faced off against the enemies of Wario Land 3 in Dr. Mario 64. This not only explains their absence in main Mario games, but also might explain the lack of direct representation of their games in the Mario spin off games in terms locations, enemies, characters, and special moves such as Wario's iconic shoulder bash.

Daisy would eventually be included in the main Mario games as a character added to the mobile game Super Mario Run in the Ver. 3.0.4 update, in addition to having a role in Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
Chaos Wars

It's believed that all of the game's voice actors were family members of Chris Jelinek, the CEO of the game's North American publisher, O3 Entertainment. In the credits, each of the game's voice actors have the surname "Jelinek". This is the reason why the game is notoriously known for its bad voice acting.
