Resident Evil: Revelations 2
1
Attachment A girl featured in the concept art of a pitch by Creative Assembly for a new Resident Evil game bears a striking resemblance to Natalia Korda from Resident Evil: Revelations 2. The images, by Brad Wright, depict a girl on a hospital bed and show her having some kind of unnatural powers. These story elements were all later included in Resident Evil: Revelations 2. Wright put the images online in 2015 a few months after the release of the game, though his statements imply that the pitch was made years before then.

In the Dragon Language, the word for "steal" is "Gahrot." This is a reference to Garrett, the protagonist of the Thief series.

Likewise, the word "Tafiir" translates to "thief". This is a reference to the invented word "taffer" featured in the Thief series.

Attachment It is possible Exeggutor actually hails from the Alolan islands, as its Pokedex entry in Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald and their remakes states that it originates from the tropics. Alola is the first tropical setting in the series and features its own version of the creature. Furthermore, Exeggutor's Pokemon Crystal Pokedex entry states that in a good environment it will grow more heads, as is seen on its Alolan form's extra branch.

Mischief Makers

Attachment At the end of the game, Spoiler:the game's three previous bosses merge their mechs together to form "The Beastector", the final boss of the game. The mech's design seems to pay homage to a few notable Japanese mechs, such as the Gundam robots from the Mobile Suit Gundam series. Similarities include the distinct V-shape on both of their heads, as well as the use of a beam rifle similar to the ones from the Gundam series.

The way each of the individual mechs morphs into a single bipedal mech is also reminiscent of the Megazord from Super Sentai (Power Rangers in the west).

In one of the stages, there is a mini-boss named Calina. Before fighting her, a cutscene plays where she takes a minute to transform. This is a parody of the magical girl anime Sailor Moon and its transformation scenes.
Skies of Arcadia

The boss battle theme heard in Skies of Arcadia bears a striking resemblance to the theme for first level of the 1989 Namco game Legend of Valkyrie.

Attachment The song from the OST, "She's Playing Piano" by Toby Fox seems to be a rendition of the popular webcomic series Homestuck's "Doctor." Toby Fox would eventually make a scrapped remix of the song titled, "Patient," which was originally intended for Homestuck but was remixed into Undertale's "Another Medium."

Attachment The final boss of the game, Belger, is seen sitting in an electric wheelchair, though he is perfectly capable of walking without it. The exact reason why he needs the wheelchair is unknown. Some players theorize that Belger uses a wheelchair to trick his enemies into thinking that he is frail and helpless, or to discourage them from attacking him, as it would look uncivilized or cowardly to physically assault a "disabled" person.

In order to avoid the associated controversies, the wheelchair was digitally redesigned into an executive office chair for the game's western SNES release. The international SNES version also adds new frames of animation for Belger walking, just to make it clear that he isn't disabled. In the Japanese version, he has no walking animation and merely hops around the room.

In the Battle Mansion, the player can fight against a Beauty trainer. After beating her in the English version, her response is "Yes, a mere half year ago I was a Black Belt! Quite the transformation, wouldn't you say?". In the Japanese version, her response is translated as "I was a Karate King a half year ago: the power of medical science is awesome wouldn't you say?!".

Whilst differently portrayed, both versions hint that the Beauty trainer is transgender (black belt is a male-specific trainer class; same for Karate King in Japanese).

Genji's character may have been inspired by Hikaru Genji, the main character of an 11th century Japanese novel called The Tale of Genji. In addition to sharing a name, they both are described as playboys who were banished from their families.

There is some discrepancy regarding the year in which GTA2 takes place. The game is often stated as taking place in 2013, as this is the year marked in police records found on the official GTA2 website. However, Head Radio host Johnny Riccaro says "the millennium is coming" in one of his broadcasts, suggesting the game takes place in 1999 or just before it. The game's own manual claims that it takes place "three weeks into the future", and the official website containing the police records used to have a timer always set three weeks from the current date.

The date was perhaps left ambiguous on purpose, as the city the game takes place in is also called "Anywhere, USA".
Burnout Paradise

The announcer for Burnout Paradise, DJ Atomica, is voiced by the same person who provides commentary in SSX 3. He also references SSX several times in Burnout Paradise, possibly suggesting they are the same character.

Attachment The Clovers in the game are references to Clover Studio, the games developer, and when collected play a similar sound to their opening title.

Since Clover Studio is now defunct, this may explained why the Clovers don't appear in Okamiden, but instead were replaced with Dandelions.

Many fans have speculated that Lucifel's appearance was based on the game's lead designer, Takeyasu Sawaki. In response to these claims, Sawaki has stated in an interview that Lucifel's appearance was based on American movies he saw, and was designed to make him look as human as possible. However, Sawaki does admit that some of their traits are similar.

When Future Trunks is tagged out in a tag battle, he says "Back to the future" possibly in reference to the popular sci-fi film of the same name.

Under the Smash Attack mini-game room, there are 10 unused Luigi sprites. Since the mini-game has Mario searching boxes for 10 portraits of Princess Peach, it's possible that the game's goal was originally to find Luigi in the boxes 10 times, and the developers simply forgot to remove the Luigi sprites.
Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike

One of Chun-Li's win quotes in the game is "Hey leave me alone. I'm a fighter, not a news reporter." This may refer to the Street Fighter live-action movie, where Chun-Li was portrayed as a news reporter.

The opera scene with Mettaton is likely a parody of "Aria di Mezzo Carattere" from Final Fantasy VI.

The image of Mario and Luigi carrying gifts for Bayonetta is a possible reference to Bayonetta 2, in which Enzo carries Bayonetta's gift boxes in the game's opening cutscene.
