The Nintendo 64, PC, & PlayStation 2 versions of the game contain secret minigames that the player can play.

For the N64 & PC versions, the minigame 'Menezis' is a 2D space shooter where the player controls the letter E firing and dodging projectiles from the letters X, O, & the number 8. This minigame is also included in the Dreamcast version, but was only available as downloadable content at the time of that version's release and can no longer be played without hacks. For the other two versions, it can be unlocked in different ways:

• For the N64 version, hold C-Left while quickly and repeatedly pressing the A and B buttons simultaneously during the credits.
• For the PC version, type 'SHOOTEMUP' during the credits roll or wait after the credits roll.

The PlayStation 2 version contains a different minigame, 'The Schplong', a game that resembles Pong. The player controls a sliding blue bar on the left of the screen and must score to win against the computer player. This can be activated in the level The Iron Mountains during the cutscene where Rayman is riding the hot air balloon. Pressing the Square or Circle button 15 times while the cutscene is playing activates the minigame.

Condemned: Criminal Origins
1
Attachment When going to meet Rosa at the City Library, in the first room on the left after the objective begins, you can find a desk hidden behind a shelf. On the desk is a TV displaying an image of a detective badge, and connected to it is an Xbox 360 with a custom skin based on Condemned: Criminal Origins. Turning off the TV will unlock the Xbox Achievement "Silver Detective Badge". It's unknown if this skin mock-up was actually intended to be produced and released as a real product.
Pizza Tower

Attachment The Weenie and Burger Golfer enemies are based on Peter and Mac, the protagonists of an unmade Pizza Tower predecessor called Weenie Cop.

Years prior to the animation studio Illumination having a film based off the Mario franchise with the 2023 film "The Super Mario Bros. Movie", the series had been referenced in a handful of films by the same studio, including Donkey Kong references in "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" and "Despicable Me 3", and an homage to kicking a Koopa Troopa shell featured in "The Secret Life of Pets".

Attachment Pac-Man's blue palette swap in the games that he appears in is based on his in-game sprite from Pac-Land when he wears the Wing Shoes power-up.

Deltarune

Attachment Catti and Catty's dad in Deltarune is a reference to Mr. Dink, a character from the Nickelodeon/Disney cartoon Doug. He mentions a character named "Douglas" (the name Dink would refer to Doug by in the series) and is seen next to a broken grill, referencing a scene from the original Nickelodeon run of the series where Doug imagines Mr. Dink turning into a monster in rage after finding out Doug broke his grill.

Courage the Cowardly Dog: Creep TV
1
Courage the Cowardly Dog: Creep TV has secret codes and maps that went undiscovered until 20 years after its release due to a glitch making them inaccessible. The codes include the "daScore" code, which shows a counter of how many ghosts you've zapped, and the "mirage" code, which expands the game map infinitely and allows access to the secret maps. On one of these maps, you can acquire a pair of glasses as an unused item, and another map containing an oasis in the Middle of Nowhere that also has a sign simply reading Eustace's catchphrase, "STUPID DOG!". However, if you use the glasses to read the sign, it will instead say "Wee...amazing! You found it! GOOD DOG!"

A very small detail in the subtitles of the story hints at a large plot twist right from the beginning of the game. This detail is the fact that Spoiler:when Odin is impersonating Tyr his name shows in the subtitles without an accent mark above the 'y', giving any eagle eyed players a hint that he's not the real Týr. Later in the game when you find the real Týr his name shows up properly accented in the subtitles.

In the entry for the Lyngbakr Kratos reminisces about his past, reading "To perform an act so heartless... It reminds me of a boat captain I wronged long ago". This boat captain was someone he let die while retrieving a key from around his neck in the original God of War.

There are chimes placed by Ratatoskr that can be found and hit to gain his assistance. If the player hits one enough times in a row Ratatoskr will eventually get fed up and yell at the player.
It Takes Two

In Chapter 3 Section 1 'Rose's Room - Pillow Fort', players will come across a pillow alcove towards the left of the main path that features two action figures with interactive buttons. The action figures themselves are actually the two playable protagonists Leo & Vincent from Hazelight Studios' other project A Way Out. If both players stomp both buttons at the same time, a unique dialogue cutscene between Leo & Vincent will play. After the dialogue, an achievement/trophy 'Plastic Prison Breakers' is earned with the description, "They had no way out."

Attachment The appearance of Longclaw in Paramount’s Sonic the Hedgehog films is reminiscent of the tiles that resemble an owl's head in the Labyrinth Zone from the original Sonic the Hedgehog. In fact, the first film's opening scene features the tile design engraved on a rock as an Easter egg, further hinting at the connection.

A Way Out
1
During Act 2 Chapter 4: 'The Farmstead', when players are required to enter the old couple's farm house for supplies, inside they can find an old grandfather clock. Although no button prompt is displayed, the clock can be interacted with by both players at the same time. Interacting with the clock unlocks a door to a secret room up on the staircase where inside a toy treasure chest can be found. Opening the chest displays a cutscene where the player's character will retrieve a wooden sword and raise it above their head. This is a reference to The Legend of Zelda series where the main protagonist Link performs this exact action when acquiring a unique item. After the cutscene an achievement/trophy 'Timeless Treasure' is earned with the description, "You linked up to get past". Another reference to the Zelda series with the third entry, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to The Past.

While the protagonist of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Ichiban Kasuga, is commonly stated to have debuted in the 2018 game Ryu Ga Gotoku Online, he actually was first revealed in a trailer for the game Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise, which is considered a spin-off of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon franchise. This trailer aired almost a year before Ryu Ga Gotoku Online and is notable as Ichiban does not appear in Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise.
Franchise: Street Fighter

Attachment In the 1993 movie "City Hunter", there's a scene where Kim, who is Colonel MacDonald's main henchman, throws Ryo Saeba into a Street Fighter World Warrior arcade machine, where he suffers an electric shock and hallucinates Kim into Ken from the game. Ryo turns into E.Honda (renamed as E.Honde due to Jackie Chan's contract with Mitsubishi preventing any legal issues with the Honda brand) and Chun-Li, while his friends turn into both Guile and Dhalsim, who successfully defeat Kim/Ken. The music and sound effects are used exactly from the SNES version of World Warrior, and the artwork on the walls were drawn by Shoei Okano.

In an intro dialogue between Johnny Cage and Geras, the former will ask, "It will be great! I'll be a Kickboxer, and you, a Street Fighter." which are references to both movies Kickboxer and the infamous live-action Street Fighter, which both starred actor Jean-Claude Van Damme.

The musician Raeb is voiced by the game's composer Bear McCreary. Not only is he voiced by Bear, but his face is similar and his name is an anagram for Bear.

In one of Mimir's many dialogues, he mentions a story about Kratos once entering into a tournament and lists off a few character descriptions that match up with those who would be seen in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Sony's attempt at making a Super Smash Bros.-style clone. Kratos even seems ashamed saying, "I would not speak of this", possibly referencing the poor reception it garnered from critics and fans.
