La Ruina also criticized Hodgkinson for having suggested in his video that people should be themselves when conversing with women, as opposed to the pick-up artist tactics seen in the game.

Before Hodgkinson knew that YouTube had accepted La Ruina's video strike against him and removed the video, La Ruina apologized to him and sent $50 as compensation for any loss of revenue, however Hodgkinson declined to accept and refunded it. La Ruina later told Polygon "I’m not going to hide that I don’t like this guy, [sic] But if somebody wants to make a negative video, they’re very welcome and we won’t DMCA it. I don’t believe in that." Hodgkinson's video would eventually return.

When Jill Valentine removes her beret, it is shown that she has long hair tied in a ponytail underneath her beret to appear short.

This is inconsistent with the in-game portrayal and artwork of Jill in Resident Evil 1 (which her appearance is based off of), where she just has short hair. However, it does falls in line with the live-action portrayal of Jill in Resident Evil 1, as the actress who portrayed her also had short hair tied in a ponytail under the beret.

In order to accurately capture the Victorian era, composer Chris Vrenna disallowed himself from using modern instruments.

The soundtrack was largely composed using instruments of the time, such as zithers and autoharps, toy instruments, and various children's toys, such as jack-in-the-boxes. Ambient noise and strings were then added to the songs to give the songs a more creepy feeling.

In order to make the music more organic sounding, Vrenna built the rhythms of the songs based on various environmental samples such as clock ticking, ratchet noises, and door slams.
