In the Easter egg "Developer's Grove" area that is unlocked upon donating 10,000 Rapo-Coins to the Wishing Well, one of the developers will inform the player that there is a "secret flower" hidden in the game that can bring the Mayor, who dies in the final world, back from the dead - while another developer tells the player that the other developer is lying. There is no secret flower.

Originally, instead of being fox-like creatures known the Raposa, Drawn to Life's NPCs were supposed to be dog-like creatures titled Droogles. Instead of the snow, forest, beach, and city/castle worlds from the final game, the worlds were going to be a medieval world, military world, skating world, and ninja world.

The game's memory contains several unused sprites:
• A checkpoint flag that unfurls and rises to the top of a pole. It is found with the rest of the World 1 graphics and is the only checkpoint flag in the game's data.
• A suit of armor located amongst the various background objects for World 4.
• A complete animation cycle for old-man Rapo facing upwards.
• An early version of the World 3 map, which is missing several details such as the colors for the top right of the screen.

According to series creator Jeremiah Slaczka in a 2022 interview, the Creator in the Drawn to Life series is meant to represent the Christian God, and Wilfre is meant to represent Satan. This was hinted at in the game years beforehand, as one of the Creator's quotes is clearly based on a quote from Genesis 1:3. The Book of Life is a book given to the Raposa civilization by the Creator, so it's comparable to the Christian Bible. Wilfre, the villain of Drawn to Life, was a power-hungry character who turned against the Creator and became evil. He attempts to destroy the Book of Life many times, and he leads others down evil paths. Also of note is that the main protagonists aside from the creation hero are named "Mari and Jowee", of "Mary and Joseph", and that the Hero is drawn in a crucifix pose.
