A reference to Dan Johnson, an long-term employee of ##Insomniac Games## who passed away on December 3rd 2006, can be found in most Ratchet & Clank titles. This running easter egg began prior to his passing, but has continued since.

After Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, Insomniac was planning to announce another Ratchet & Clank game called Ratchet & Clank: Nexus. The idea was scrapped and instead Insomniac released Ratchet: Deadlocked (Ratchet: Gladiator in Europe) which used some features from Ratchet & Clank: Nexus. The name Ratchet & Clank: Nexus may have also inspired the name for Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus.
