In the tutorial, if the player refuses to use Spidey's web-slinging abilities and instead chooses to walk and run everywhere, Bruce Campbell's Narrator will briefly pause the game and humorously lambast and act condescending toward the player for their antics. If the player persists, the narrator will continue to do this and even appear more frustrated each time.
Back 4 Blood
1
In Back 4 Blood's Beta there was an unintentionally defective ladder in a warehouse section of the game that accidentally caused the players character to die upon using it. The game's devs decided to poke fun at this, after fixing said glitch in the final release of the game, by adding graffiti on the wall adjacent to the ladder that tells player to use caution when using it. They also had Mum comment on the "suspicious" ladder when she approaches it by telling the other characters to be careful on it.

Attachment In the Game Boy Advance version, a number of Easter eggs referencing previous Rare titles can be found in Cranky's Hut:
• The mask of Mumbo Jumbo from the Banjo-Kazooie series can be seen sitting on a barrel in the foreground.
• The mounted head of Sabre Wulf, the main antagonist of the Sabreman series, can be found hanging near the door. He does not appear to be dead, as his eyes continue blinking despite being decapitated.
• Next to Sabre Wulf's mounted head is a picture frame showcasing a compressed image of artwork for the 2004 Game Boy Advance game Sabre Wulf.

Attachment In Chapter 2, Kris' eye can briefly be seen during the cutscene that plays whenever they and Susie enter a Dark World, appearing just before the pair plunge down at the end of the transition. This appears to nod to a graphical quirk present since Chapter 1, where the pixels in Kris' sprite will occasionally blend together while walking around, resulting in a red dot sometimes appearing in roughly the same area of their face by mistake.

Attachment Within the data for Chapter 2 is an unused alternate version of Spoiler:Spamton NEO's wasted turn, in which his phone fires a Pipis that explodes in his face and covers it in soot, rather than launching a volley of flying heads at him. Spamton NEO's head remains covered in soot until his next attack. It's likely that this event was changed due to Spoiler:its accidental resemblance to blackface, which historically was often paired with similar explosion gags in animation.

Attachment In the Japanese version of the game, the Spoiler:mock-VCR HUD icons that appear during Spamton NEO's ultimate attack in Chapter 2's Weird Route include two kanji-related puns: Spoiler:the "WRECK" icon and the "PAUSE" icon are respectively given the non-standard translations "殺エイ中" and "テイ死" instead of the typical "撮影中" and "ていし". The former includes an alternate reading of the kanji for "kill," while the latter uses the kanji for "death," tying in with Spoiler:Spamton's habit of replacing instances of "だい" and "です" with the phonetically-similar English words "die" and "death" throughout the Japanese script.

The Tasque enemies' quotes during battle are written in binary, with "me" representing a 1 and "ow" representing a 0. Translating most of these quotes gives each letter in the word "meow" (written in lowercase); meanwhile, the longer meow that Tasques utter after using the "Pet" ACT on them translates to a ♥ symbol.

Attachment The Version 1.07 patch adds in a new Easter egg surrounding Spoiler:the Pipis enemies that can be encountered on the Weird Route; entering a battle with one now has a 1% chance of spawning "Ms. Pipis", a Pipis with a pink bow on it. This difference is purely cosmetic, and the enemy functions identically to a standard Pipis. In the official notes for the patch, this Easter egg is alluded to by the text Spoiler:Pipis Fanservice, which is tucked in the bottom-right corner of the changelog.

If you explore Level 50, you can find a game developer named Dane in a closed off office-like space where he will say that the player can stay as long as they don't do anything to his computer as he is working on the game as the player is playing it. If the player does end up raining on the computer then they will get abruptly booted to the title screen.

A fire extinguisher can be found while playing the game that, instead of featuring helpful step-by-step information on the label, has dark humorous text that states:

"1. Panic. Struggle with using device.
2. Begin to extinguish.
Fire is too large.
Slowly back away.
3. Put object down.
Examine choices.

There are numerous callbacks to different pieces of Alien media in this game:

•In one of the hangers, a power loader, similar to the one Ridley uses at the end of Aliens Spoiler:to fight the Xenomorph Queen, can be found behind partially closed doors.

•The iconic drinking bird figurine that's seen bobbing it's head on the dinner table of the Nostromo in the original Alien film can be found in the Crew Quarters area of this game.

•The lines "Elevator to Hell" and "Let's Rock!" can be selected to be emblazoned on the player's firearm in reference to two lines said by Aliens film characters Pvt. Hudson and Pvt. Vasquez respectively.

•On a table in one of the levels is a cowboy hat, a homage to Danny McBride's Tennessee Faris character from Alien: Covenant.

For the Art Direction of the game, In addition to the obvious Generation 1 influence, the designers at High Moon Studios also looked to classic sci-fi franchises that had a certain dark or distinctive look such as the Alien franchise, Blade Runner, and the Tron films among others.
Transformers: War for Cybertron

High Moon Studios pitched the project to Hasbro by sliding a picture of their depiction of Bumblebee across the table during a conference and saying "What do you think?". However, while they were seemingly confident in their more "adult and realistic" take on the franchise, internally for them it was extremely nerve-racking with Jim Daley (Lead Designer) saying it was like "George Lucas looking at [someone] redesigning Luke Skywalker". Hasbro as it turns out really liked the idea and were excited to see the intense Cybertronian war fleshed out more.
