Looking closely at the wall of pin-pointed suspects, the main character's last name is revealed to be Trapani. His personal information is also revealed:

Alias- The Player.
After criminal offensives in the early 1940's suspect allegedly acquire position of solider in the Corleone family.

Francis Ford Coppola (film director of the original Godfather trilogy) was not consulted or even informed about the development of the game. He later went on to say that he felt the game was mishandled, stating:

"They use the characters everyone knows, and they hire those actors to be there, and only to introduce minor characters. And then for the next hour they shoot and kill each other, I had absolutely nothing to do with the game. I disapprove. I think it's a misuse of film".

In an area of the sewers is a gang of murderous bellboys, with no explanation as to why they are there.

In one of the rail yards there is a maze of shipping containers. In the center is a homeless man. Killing him will spawn several more homeless people who will start entering the maze to attack you.

Shortly before his death, Marlon Brando who played Vito Corleone in the original film, had recorded dialogue for the character. However, almost all of it was unusable due to the condition of his health and mumbly voice. Doug Abrahams instead provided the voice for the character, but one useable voice line recorded by Brando was included in the final game as a tribute to him, making it his final acting performance.
