A prototype version of the game dated to June 1991 had an isometric 3D overworld map that was redesigned to be a 2D map in the final game. This map screen also used a song that would get reworked as the Treasure Room theme in the same game.

Attachment On the password screen in the Japanese version, the stained glass decoration displays Jesus Christ and a cross, this was removed in the International version.

Attachment In the Japanese version, at the graveyard scene in the opening, there are crosses in the background, including one on the top of Dracula's tombstone. However, the name on the tombstone is "Dracura". But in the International version, they removed and replaced the crosses, along with the "Dracura" name.

Right next to the stairs near the final boss fight with Dracula, there is a invisible stair case that leads to a lot of Pot Roasts, Hearts, a Cross/Boomerang, a Double Shot and a Triple Shot.

If you jump on any treasure chest in stage 9 255 times in a row, a pot roast will come out.
