The theme song to Radical Rex has often been referred to by unofficial soundtrack uploads with the deprecating title of "Dated Slang Rap"; this title's origins are dubious. The only version of the game to feature a sound test (even accounting for the SNES Baby T-Rex prototype, which the song title was also attributed to), was the Sega Genesis iteration, which calls it "RAD REX 2" and did not feature the voice samples present in other releases of the game due to memory limitations. When the Radical Rex IP rights were acquired by Piko Interactive, the title of "Dated Slang Rap" would be canonized through the game's official soundtrack release in 2023.
