Attachment Within the game's data is code for Kirby to change his skin color upon acquiring certain copy abilities, a trait which was previously seen in past Kirby games before being completely phased out from Kirby's Return to Dream Land onward. This feature appears to have been abandoned relatively early into development, as it is nonfunctional when in the world map and when using Mouthful Mode (both of which use different parameters from typical in-level gameplay). Additionally, the game contains code for displaying a yellow-skinned Kirby. Parameter names associated with this skin indicate that it was intended for a two-player mode, similarly to various other Kirby titles.

Attachment The New World script seen throughout the game is a cipher for the Latin alphabet. While this is most visible with the subtitles for "Welcome to the New World", which are provided in both scripts, all other instances are just as easily translatable, producing coherent English-language messages.

In an interview for Nintendo's "Ask the Developers" column, series director Shinya Kumazaki and associate producer Kei Ninomiya revealed that they deliberately designed and utilized the New World script in a way that would allow players to translate it themselves, with Kumazaki describing it as a way to make the game more immersive for curious audiences.
