Just Dance 2023 Edition is notable for being the first game in the series' 14-year history to feature a story mode, titled "Enter the Danceverses". When asked during a discussion panel with Ubisoft Paris, the game's content director Franck Chapelat stated that they added the story mode because they "wanted to make a link between reality and the Just Dance universe."

That's on me. I've been seeing a lot of people talk about how Just Dance suddenly has lore, and decided to look into it for clarity. Thinking about it, I probably shouldn't have worded it like an ad for the game...

I flip-flopped on keeping or deleting this, but I found a more specific quote in one of the sources about why they added the story mode so I edited it down to ditch the plot summary and include that. I think this series suddenly trying to implement a story after over a decade of churning out games as often as Call of Duty is kind of bizarre.
