Before the release of the game, Disney asked the fans to vote on two versions of the box art, one with the villains (the version that won) and one without.

The boxart shows the Queen of Hearts peeking through a corridor, although she never shows up anywhere in the game, unlike all of the other villains shown.

Wonderland was originally going to be one of the worlds sucked into Mizrabel's Castle of Illusion. This marks the level's second time to be scrapped, as it was also intended to appear in the original Epic Mickey game.
