Storyboards were produced for a pirate ship sequence, and Dirk would have faced an octopus and the Pirate King. While this sequence did not make it into the game, there is a pirate flag in the pile of objects that Dirk pours out of his bag at the end of the page, suggesting that the pirate ship sequence was cut after the ending was produced.
