In the Japanese version, Akio Ohtsuka and Takeshi Aono, who voiced Snake and Colonel Campbell respectively in the Metal Gear Solid games, reprised their character roles for their cameos in this game. However, in the US version, David Hayter and Paul Eiding, who voiced Snake and Colonel Campbell respectively, were not able to reprise their character roles for this game. Instead, Peter Lurie and Michael McColl played each character, respectively.

After completing the game once, it's possible to purchase a mini-game called "Mesal Gear Solid" at the hobby shop, a parody of Metal Gear Solid.
