Attachment An unused enemy named "Mr. Friendly" can be found in the Half-Life's data. According to the book "Half-Life 2: Raising the Bar" Mr. Friendly's attacks included knocking Gordon's weapons out of his hand, knocking off Gordon's glasses (making the screen go blurry) and even raping the player. It was created by Ted Backman, and the design was because Ted "decided to go with something that elicits a homophobic response". The in-game texture is also signed by Ted.

When asked about the name, Miyamoto said, "Zelda was the name of the wife of the famous novelist Francis Scott Fitzgerald. She was a famous and beautiful woman from all accounts, and I liked the sound of her name. So I took the liberty of using her name for the very first Zelda title."

Attachment In the Japanese version of Trouble Shooter (known as Battle Mania), if you hold the C button on controller two while the game starts up, it displays the game's protagonist stomping curiously on a Super Famicom (the Japanese variant of the Super Nintendo). Apparently the developers were Sega fans, and were annoyed when funding for their game was moved to Nintendo projects, deciding to get their own stab back at them by hiding this screen in the game.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

Throughout Old Snake's character development, Hideo Kojima and his crew did extensive research to find out which mustache would work best for Old Snake. They settled for the mustache of Lee Van Cleef from the 1966 film "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly". Additionally, ever since Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, the team played around with the idea of Snake's facial hair growing in real time.
