Two old women could be found in the hot spring of Lavaridge Town in the original release of Pokémon Ruby & Pokémon Sapphire. They were removed in the Nintendo 3DS remakes, possibly because of the lewd nature of the scene. In Japan, it is common for people to bathe naked in hot springs, called "onsen", split by gender. In the original games' release, the male trainer was able to bathe with the old women, while an old man is also seen looking over the spring.

In Japan, a version of the game known as Digimon Tamers: Battle Spirit Ver. 1.5 was released for the Wonderswan. To make up for the long wait between the US and European releases, the European release of the game features multiple extras not found in the Japanese or American releases.

These include an art gallery, a skit viewer and equippable headgear for Emil and Marta that change their appearance in battle. Notably one of the equippable items is the Judas Mask worn by Leon Magnus in Tales of Destiny 2, which is also mentioned in a skit by Presea.

The European extras were later included in all versions of the game for its Playstation 3 Chronicles rerelease.

Attachment In the Japanese release there is an event that can be seen at the Fountain called "Shiritori", in which a category will be chosen at the beginning of the game, such as general word association or food association. Two Miis will then come up with words which begins with the final kana of the previous word, and if either Mii repeats a word that has already been said, they will automatically lose.

The North American version of the game replaces this event with one called "Rap Battle", in which two Miis try to insult each other in rhymes until one of them cannot come up with a rhyme.

The European versions not only contain the "Rap Battle" event, but also an English version of the "Shiritori" event called " Word Chain", where instead of coming up with words that begins with the final kana of the previous word, two Miis have to come up with words that begin with the letter that the previous word ended with.

Attachment Over 30 new levels were created for the Game Boy Advance release of the game, Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros 3. In order to access these new levels, the player requires an e-Reader for Game Boy Advance and the various e-Reader Level Cards. To transfer the levels, the player would require 2 Game Boy Advance systems, the e-Reader, a link cable, and a copy of the game. Because of this, these levels have mostly fallen into obscurity.

Only 10 Level Cards were released in North America, while the other 20 Level Cards were released in Japan.

When the game was re-released on the Wii U Virtual Console and Nintendo Switch Online, all 38 e-Reader levels were unlocked by default as the e-Reader was only supported for the Game Boy Advance.
