Attachment A secret Game Over screen exists that would rarely appear for a losing player. The screen features the "Goro's Lair" stage backdrop with a large red Roman numeral '3', seeming to foreshadow the then-in-production Mortal Kombat 3.

One of Leviathan's possible quotes during Squigly's Daisy Pusher attack is "For I beheld Satan as he fell from Heaven like lightning!" This is a reference to one of Raul Julia's lines as M. Bison from the 1994 live action Street Fighter adaptation. This line was also originally used in Luke chapter 10, verse 18 in the Holy Bible.

Many of the unique titles for each fighter in Classic Mode contain Easter eggs and references. A few examples are:
*Mario's title "Let's-a-Go" is a reference to one of his phrases.
*Link's title "A Quest to Save Darkness" references the plot of most Zelda games where he's on a mission to seal Ganon away.
*Dark Samus' title "The Great Poison Given Form" references the essence she was created from in the Metroid Prime series.
*Kirby's title "Gourmet Clash" references the Gourmet Race minigame from Kirby Super Star.
*Pikachu's title "I Choose You!" is based off Ash Ketchum's signature catchphrase from the Pokemon Anime, as well as the name of the Anime's first episode.
*Luigi's title "Luigi's Nightmare" is likely a reference to his cowardly personality.
*Ness' title "Home to Onett" is a reference to the Homesick status featured in Earthbound.
*Jigglypuff's title "All Original, All 64" is a reference to the fact that Jigglypuff is a member of the Perfect Attendance Crew for being in every Super Smash Bros. game since the original for the Nintendo 64, and the opponents it faces are against other members of the Perfect Attendance Crew.
Kingdom Hearts III
1
Attachment On the game's box-art, the clock on the tower to the left of the characters actually has thirteen roman numerals instead of twelve, and they are out of order. In addition to that, the two hands on the clock are pointing to 13 and the 7, representing the 7 lights and 13 darknesses that play a major role in this game's story. The clock tower itself bears a striking resemblance to the NTT Docomo building in Shinjuku, Japan.
World of Warcraft

Attachment In the Battle for Azeroth expansion there is a Kingdom Hearts reference. Specifically, if the player goes to the Thresher's Wharf area of Stormsong valley and climb a tall structure they can find three Beleaguered Watchmen looking out dramatically at the water. The way they are positioned, dressed, and how the scene is choreographed, make them look like the three original human characters from Kingdom Hearts: Sora, Kairi, and Riku.
Streets of Rage 2
1
Ayano Koshiro stated that she and her team love reading various of "Weekly Shounen Champion" manga, mainly "Baki" and "Apocalypse Zero" manga series. They were a big influence to the game and there were lots of mangas referenced in the game.

As the team's party spots the castle afar in the Castle View of Greenhorne, one of Miis will wonder if there's a princess living there, whilst another responds "Nah. Princesses are always in another castle," paying homage to what the Toads have been known to say in Super Mario Bros..
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
1
If the player completes the whole trilogy in 100%, they'll be able to see "Fake Crash" in some of the levels. This includes:

"Crash Bandicoot"
N. Sanity Beach: At the left side of the stone stairs.
Heavy Machinery: In one of the pipes near a platform that takes Crash down to a different path.

"Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back"
The Pits: At the left side of the path, near the first big mushroom, right after the split path ends.
Crash Crush: On the left side of the path while Crash is getting chased by a boulder.
Hang Eight: At the end of the Blue Gem route, on an un-reachable platform with two Venus Fly Trap enemies.
Ruination: At the right side of the first platforms moving in circle.

Makin' Waves: On a small island with grass, and a palm tree, at the end of the level, on the right.
Hog Ride: Seen dancing on the left side of the road. He is in between the gas station and the Cortex sign, near the two ramps right next to each other.
Area 51?: Left side of the road near a tall cactus, on a left turn.
Future Tense: Near the end of the death route, on a building to the right.

In the Eastern side of the Hammerlock Pavilion there is a little girl who asks the player to deliver a message to her friend in Ballonlea. However, when the player delivers it to said friend, they find that he is actually a middle-aged man. Adding to the eeriness of the scene, the man claims that the girl who sent the letter was a friend of his who he hasn't seen since childhood. If the player returns to where the child was, she won't be there, and if the player searches the exact area she was on, they will instead find a hidden Reaper Cloth (An item important to Ghost-type Pokémon), implying she may have been a ghost. Furthermore, if the player goes back to the man's house, a child will be standing facing the wall and state that she is having a conversation with someone. This seem to be part of a string of similar "Ghost Girl" Easter eggs seen in recent main-line Pokemon games,
Uninvited
1
Strangely, only the NES port has an Easter Egg referencing ICOM Simulations' other popular adventure "Déjà Vu": In an out of the way corner of a late game labyrinth section, the player can find a tombstone of one "Ace Harding", the main protagonist of "Déjà Vu". Messing with the tombstone will cause a zombified Ace to appear, proclaiming he was once a famous detective, and all he wants now is to be left alone. Further irritating him results in one of the many instant in-game deaths.
Super Metroid

Attachment According to a Game Shokunin Vol. 1 interview with game's enemy programmer Yasuhiko Fujii, before the boss fight against Draygon, the player will encounter a group of Evir enemies that do a little "dance". Their movements actually spell out the words "Keiko Love" in English, referring to a girl Fujii dated at the time named Keiko. He was busy with work and couldn't make time for her, so when everyone in the office was asleep at night, he snuck this Easter egg into the game. Fujii recalled that the Evir dance was never written in the game's planning documents, and that his heart was racing fast as he coded it out of fear that it would be discovered, but no one on the team's staff ever found it.
