Final Fantasy VII

According to the game's art director Yūsuke Naora, he liked how his design of the city of Midgar turned out, having envisioned the city in his head as a pizza while he was designing it.

After the first AVALANCHE mission at the start of the game, Barret will reference this inspiration when talking to Cloud about the upper plate of Midgar:

Barrett: "The upper world...a city on a plate...It's cuz of that &^#$# 'pizza', that people underneath are sufferin'!"

Additionally, the name of the song "Underneath the Rotting Pizza", which prominently plays in many of the slum areas in Midgar, is a reference to its design.
Kingdom Hearts III

Arendelle's Boss, the giant wolf Heartless "Skoll", is named after and based on the figure of the same name in Norse (Viking) mythology. Specifically, the Vikings believed that two wolf figures, Hati and Skoll, were in constant pursuit of the Moon and Sun in order to devour the two celestial bodies, thus creating the day and the night. Skoll can also be seen trying to darken the boss arena at times in reference to Skoll successfully devouring the Sun during the Ragnarok, the end of all of the realms of the universe in Norse mythology.

If Fiona inserts a "SALTATIO" Plate-key into a Golem, it will perform a 15 second Para Para dance, called the "Secret Dance" in the game's soundtrack, after which Fiona will remark "......That got my mind off things. I feel a little better now." before completely restoring all of her stats. "Saltātiō" is a Latin noun meaning "a dance".
Bayonetta
1
One of Bayonetta's attacks is a reference to Akira from Virtua Fighter, where she performs his Tetsuzankou (Bodycheck) and says his signature victory quote "Juunen hayaindayo!" ("You're 10 years too early!").
Dino Crisis 2
1
Attachment An unused song can be found in the data for Dino Crisis 2's demo disc that, although being slightly rearranged, bears an uncanny resemblance to the "Ground Theme" from Super Mario Bros.
Street Fighter EX3

Attachment In the practice mode variant of the Final Battle stage, a picture of actor and former professional wrestler Mr. T can be found surrounding the stage, taking the place of a painting depicting a person holding a baby in the normal variant of the stage.
Nioh

The description for the Heshikiri Hasabe sword alludes to a real-life event where daimyo Oda Nobunaga used the sword to murder one of his servants in anger after he insulted him. The final enemy in the "Kanbei and the Overlord" side mission is a yōkai resembling a biwa that steals the weapon because of a grudge related to the sword. It is heavily implied that the demon is that slain servant.
Batman: Arkham Knight
1
If the player detonates explosive gel inside Penguin's vault, the stack of bombs turns into an unused destroyed Titan canister model that appears to have been carried over from Batman: Arkham City, although it is impossible to go back inside the vault to interact with it.

There are certain days coded into the game's files that alter Pokemon spawn rates.

On August 6th, August 9th and September 11th, Pokemon are 10% less likely to spawn in the wild. These dates coincide with the atomic bombings on Japan, and the September 11th terrorist attacks on the United States.

On certain major holidays such as Christmas, New Years and Culture Day (November 3rd in Japan), Pokemon are 5% less likely to spawn in the wild possibly to discourage gameplay during holidays.

33 other holiday dates were found to have a 5% increase in wild Pokemon spawns, such as St. Patrick's Day (March 17th), Independence Day (July 4th in the United States), Bank Holiday (August 28th in the UK) and Christmas Eve (December 24th).
Among Us
1
Attachment If the imposter gets voted out in the "Polus" map, the imposter will be thrown into lava, while making a thumbs up. This is a reference to the end of the film "Terminator 2: Judgment Day", where the Terminator dies in a vat of molten steel, while giving John & Sarah Connor a thumbs up.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game
1
Attachment During the Halloween Party level, an NPC will appear that bears a striking resemblance to Billy "Big Bang" Blitz from the game Clash at Demonhead. Tom, a palette-swap of one of the enemies in the game, is based on Tom Guycot, who is also from Clash at Demonhead, and serves as one of the game's villains. Additionally, in the original "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" graphic novel series, Envy Adam's band "The Clash at Demonhead" is named after the game.

During the final stretch of the side mission, "Kanbei and the Overlord", if the player runs to the locked door they can learn the name of the hidden Revenant before the second wave of enemies appears. Its name is Sugitani Zenjubo, a real-life samurai who was captured by daimyo Oda Nobunaga after the Siege of Kanegasaki in 1570 and sentenced to death by beheading. This event is alluded to in the Revenant's dialogue, and in its Blood Grave where it specifically names Nobunaga as the cause of death, the only instance of a Blood Grave with an identified culprit in the game.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round
1
In the Japanese version of the game, Honoka and Marie's tag intro shows Honoka requesting to borrow Marie Rose's chest. This is meant to be a pun on both of their different bust sizes and a common Japanese phrase for requesting a sparring partner, believing power is derived from the chest. This interaction was changed in the Western versions to Honoka plainly asking for a practice round.

Raoh and Heart are the only characters in the game who cannot crouch and subsequently cannot block low. Raoh not being able to crouch is consistent with his personality in the Fist of the North Star series, as he constantly strives for domination and refuses to be subordinate to others. It is allegedly explained in the game's manual that Raoh does not crouch because "it's not like a king to kneel", but it is not known where in the manual this is mentioned.

This was added to prevent the player from softlocking the game in Cianwood City by giving the player a Pokemon that can learn the Surf HM in order to leave. Additionally, it is possible for the Tentacool given to you to be Shiny.
