Franchise: F-Zero
1
F-Zero has several tie-ins with the Star Fox series. The character James McCloud shares the name of Fox's father from Star Fox, and the characters have many other similarities:
•They wear the same outfit.
•Both drive drive ships powered by G-Diffusers that were designed by a company named "Space Dynamics".
•F-Zero's James McCloud also is the squadron leader of a space combat team known as "Galaxy Dogs", a clear parody of Star Fox, and his partner, a man named O'Donnell, is a likely reference to Star Fox's Wolf O'Donnell.
•In F-Zero X, James McCloud even states the he "drives like a sly fox", furthering the connection.
Donkey Kong Country Returns

At the end of the level "Lift-off Launch", green lights can be seen in the sky. These lights can be found in northern parts of the world, and go by the name of the "Northern Lights". This suggests that the game takes place in a northern part of the world.
League of Legends
1
Attachment King Rammus' design bears a strong resemblance to Bowser from the Mario franchise.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3
1
Attachment Fervord records uncovered an unreleased track by "The Jetzons" made around 1984 called "Hard Times", which was found to strongly resemble "Ice Cap Zone" from Sonic the Hedgehog 3. This is likely more than coincidental, seeing as how Brad Buxer was the keyboardist for the Jetzons at the time, and is also credited for working on the soundtrack for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 alongside Michael Jackson.
1
Attachment It's possible that the blue outfit for R.O.B. is based on his cameo as Nav-Com in Star-Tropics for the NES.
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
subdirectory_arrow_right The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (Game)
1
Attachment The first dungeon in Oracle of Seasons is reminiscent of the Eagle Labyrinth from the original The Legend of Zelda. The layouts are similar and the exterior of both dungeons are dead trees.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3
1
There are several unused voice clips that suggest that there were going to be more characters in Dragon Universe than there actually are. Notably, Kid Goku's Dragon Universe seemed to have involved him finding a time machine that takes him to the current Dragon Ball Z era, fighting Yamcha, Krillin, Tien Shinhan, Piccolo (who he thinks is still King Piccolo), maybe Vegeta, Teen Gohan (who thinks he stole the name from his grandfather) and Broly.
DuckTales: Remastered
1
Attachment A sprite of Scrooge in the costume he wore in the "Masked Mallard" episode of the Ducktales cartoon series appears in a documentary about the making of the game. This could possibly indicate that the developers originally planned to give the player the option to change Scrooge's outfit.
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
1
The game's soundtrack was included as one of the pre-order bonuses for the game. However, the header information in the music files indicates that they were encoded by "arsa13", a user responsible for putting up illegal copies of the soundtrack on torrent sites.

This suggests that Ubisoft had downloaded a pirated version of their own soundtrack to publish as a pre-order incentive.
Pokémon X

Attachment In Lumiose City Station, if you interact with the back of the TMV Timetable closest to the wall, it will read: 'Something is written on the back of the timetable. "I'm going to go for help. Wait in the usual place."' There is also a child standing nearby who says "It should be some place right around here, right?" People believe this child is looking for the 'usual place.'
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
1
Attachment Master Eraqus physically resembles Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of the Final Fantasy series. His name is also an anagram of "Square", a reference to Square Enix, the developers of the Kingdom Hearts series.
Franchise: Suikoden
1
Attachment Lorelai has used a different type of weapon in every appearance she has made in the series. She uses a bow in the first Suikoden game, a scythe in Suikoden II, and a whip in Suikoden V. This suggests that she is a strong, well rounded fighter. Her recruitment policy usually requires a high level, further illustrating her own skill.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3
1
Attachment In the Character Reference section, Chi-Chi says that she would like to have met Grandpa Gohan. However, she met him in the last episodes of Dragon Ball. The game might be disregarding this, as it was anime-only filler.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3
1
In "Dragon History", the game's story mode, during the fight with Nam, Mr. Satan/Hercule is shown on the signs and blimps even though he is not the champion at that point in the story. This can be attributed to the stage being more or less the same throughout the series, so making a whole new stage without Mr. Satan/Hercule just for this scenario would be wasteful.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
1
Attachment In the PlayStation 3 release, placeholder text scripted as "MENU_DLC5_MAPS" can be found in the game's code, hinting that Treyarch may have considered releasing 5 DLCs instead of the final 4.
Action 52
1
There is evidence in the game's code that suggests that there was originally going to be 8 more games, making a total of 60.
Tekken 6
1
Attachment In the Korean version of the game, Alisa's chainsaws are changed to energy beams, similar to Lightsabers from the Star Wars series.
Star Fox

There is a possibility General Pepper is named after The Beatles' album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". He is also wearing an outfit similar to a character on the album cover.
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
1
In one of the trailers for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, there's an introduction to the Aurora Units that feature heavily in the game. The camera pans over blueprints for what the game calls a future Aurora Unit complex. The layout is identical to Mother Brain's chambers in Tourian from Super Metroid.
Golden Sun: The Lost Age
1
Attachment Inside the game's files are unused sprites of a character that resembles Link from The Legend of Zelda.
