Most of the Espers are based on the Lucavi in Final Fantasy Tactics, or other past bosses of previous Final Fantasy games. Twelve of them are associated with Zodiac signs.

After the ending credits, there is a morse code conversation between two unknown people. The first massage says "Vault facility occupied. Project Vulture Sentry System has been disabled. Awaiting instructions." The second is a German sentence, that when translated says "Confirmed. Implementation of phase Two. Activate project ALBATROSS." This was meant to set up for a sequel that (at the time of writing this) has yet to be announced.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Attachment Rockster Video Games is a store located in Ocean Beach, Vice City, just north of The Pole Position Club. The store is an obvious reference to Rockstar Games. The window of the store has character artworks of 8-Ball, El Burro, Kenji Kasen, and Maria Latore and the door has a Rockstar Games logo.

Attachment The Gasso station in Dillimore has a label that says "Max Pane - Bullet Proof Glass", an obvious reference to the Max Payne series.

One of the radio commercials advertises a vacation to Panau, the setting of Just Cause 2, another game by Square Enix. It also mentions several landmarks that were key locations in Just Cause 2.

During the end credits, the player is given the chance to shoot at some targets. Among the targets is a Tentacle from Maniac Mansion, an R2 unit from Star Wars, and what could be a Bubsy the Bobcat Doll.

In order to rescue Braid in Blackmoor Mountains, you must obtain the Red Orb and crouch down. After this, a tornado will move you to a different location. This is a reference to Simon's Quest, in which you need to do the exact same thing in order to continue the game.

Attachment In the "Ink & Paint Club", you can find Jessica Rabbit's phone number which is an actual real-world number to call. Players could dial the number which would then have a recorded message set-up by LJN providing hints for the game. However, calling the number now will direct you to a phone-sex hotline.

The Kuruma is referenced in an episode of CBS crime drama "NCIS" where a witness tells Ziva David that the getaway car was a "Kuruma", who gets told by her superior Agent Gibbs that "kuruma" means car, and that her description of the car is car. Agent McGee steps in and tells his confused co-workers, "Kuruma is the name of a car in Grand Theft Auto III, it's a Chrysler Sebring Sedan, boss."

In the English prototype of Mother, some of the characters were redesigned, possibly to avoid resembling characters from Charles Schulz's Peanuts comic strip. One NPC character was given pigtails to reduce her resemblance to Marcy, Peppermint Patty's best friend, and the dust cloud was removed from an NPC that looked like "Pigpen". Ninten's mom was also given a different hairstyle, possibly because it resembled Sally Brown, Charlie Brown's sister. Ironically, Ninten's shirt was given a stripe, which made him look similar to Charlie Brown.

Upon using Zer0's deception skill he may say "How Hilarious. You set off my trap card. Your death approaches." This is a reference to the Yu-Gi-Oh anime.
Castlevania: Rondo of Blood

Attachment There is a hidden audio track message warning the player to not play the disc in a audio CD player. The warning is a small skit between Richter and Maria. Though only in Japanese, it seems that Maria initially scares Richter and Maria then warns him to not put the disc into an audio CD player. Richter questions why she knows all this before seeing she's been reading off of a piece of paper. Richter then warns people to turn down their speakers as it may blow them out before the disc goes onto track 2. A similar audio track is present on the disc Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
