"Ryu Kokki" is based on the last boss of the same game. In the game, it transforms two times (it has three forms), and the card illustration depicts its final form.

On Main Ops 16, the player can get onto the roof of a miner's shack and trigger a special button prompt that, when pressed, has the player jump with their arms spread into a box full fo straw, accompanied by the sound of an eagle's cry. Once the player has completed the Leap of Faith, Kazuhira Miller explains the history of the "Assassin's Straw Box," stating it was used by an order of assassins in the time of the crusades. This is a reference to Assassin's Creed and the Leap of Faith the assassins do. The box is then unlocked for use in future missions. The box even allows the player to knock out guards while hiding in it, similar to how Ezio could assassinate guards from a bundle of straw.

Attachment In the TU12 world of the Xbox 360 version of the game, it's possible to find a pyramid. Inside is a tower of 4 gold blocks placed on an obsidian block. This is a reference to Rooster Teeth's series "Let's Play", where each week 7 guys play different challenges in Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition to win a golden tower they call the "Tower of Pimps".

During the "Zombie Attack" mission, the protagonist will also make mention to Lin being brought back as a zombie when using the Male Voice 1.

It is said by Joshua Graham in the Honest Hearts DLC that the .45 Auto pistol is based on a nearly 400-year-old design from one of his Mormon ancestors and is the trademark weapon of the New Canaanite tribe. This alludes to the creator of the real-life pistol this gun is based on, the M1911, created by John Moses Browning. Like the New Canaanites, Browning was a member of the Mormon church from Utah.
