Giorno Giovanna's HHA move has unique animations for certain characters in the game, five of which reference various panels from the manga Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and/or abilities of the person being attacked:
• When used against Jonathan Joestar, Giorno's stand will apply its thumb onto Jonathan's eye, referencing Part 1 (Phantom Blood) in which Dio Brando challenges Jonathan Joestar to a boxing match and cheats by jamming his thumb into his eye, causing it to bleed and temporarily blind him.
• When used against Jean Pierre Eiffel (Polnareff in Japan), Jean's tongue will stick out, referencing to Part 3 (Stardust Crusaders) in which another character, Hol Horse, is pointing a gun towards him and Jean is trying to warn the rest of his group about it by pointing behind him with his tongue.
• When used against DIO (the mononymous Part 3 version of Dio Brando), the attack hits his upper-head. Normally the attack hits other characters in the cheek or jaw, but this is likely a reference to Jotaro Kujo managing to successfully attack DIO, temporarily caving in his skull.
• When used against Bruno Bucciarati, his face will contort more so than any of the other characters, in reference to Giorno and Bruno's first fight in Part 5 (Vento Aureo), which was also the first time Golden Wind (Gold Experience in Japan) was used offensively.
• When used against Father Enrico Pucci of Part Six (Stone Ocean), Golden Wind will hold Pucci's cheek in one hand and punch the other cheek with the other, referencing Spoiler:his death at the hands of Emporio Alnino, who pins his face to the floor while inside Burning Down (Burning Down the House in Japan) before crushing his skull with a volley of punches.
