The secret boss Chipper's Revenge is a direct reference to Scott Cawthon's previous game, Chipper & Sons Lumber Co.. His post-battle dialogue even has him lamenting about how his world was "lush and beautiful, full of strange and colorful creatures", only to fall into obscurity due to players wanting to be scared and feel dread, suggesting that he's jealous of Freddy's success. His normal self, Mr. Chipper, would later be added to the game as a playable character in the Version 2 update.

A few enemies from FNaF World: Halloween Edition were added to FNaF World, most notably the Purple Geist.

The "Colossal" and "Crabapple" enemies are actually slightly modified versions of characters from the developer's previous game: Chipper and Sons Lumber Co.
