In Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, Alvis's necklace was changed from holding a key to holding a pendant shaped similarly to Pyra and Mythra's core crystal. This alludes to a major plot point in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, where Spoiler:Alvis's true nature is revealed to be Ontos, the third, missing core of the Trinity Processor.
