In the Special Sparring DLC, the 2nd opponent in the "VF Academy" team is an Akira user named "Plague". This "Plague" has the same play style as professional SoCal Virtua Fighter Player Talis "Plague" Baltgalvis. Akira is also a nod to Plague's usual character in tournaments.
