According to Pablo Hidalgo, member of Lucasfilm's story group, the canonicity of the game within the Star Wars franchise is non-canon, due to its nature. This means that any character originally from the Legends timeline introduced into the game, unless appearing in any other official media released after the introduction of the new canon, would remain in the Legends canon.
