During the opening cutscene to the "Overpower" training mission, a Stromtrooper in the background can be seen hitting his head on a flight of stairs. This is a reference to the scene from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, where an actor portraying one of the Stormtroopers entering the control room unintentionally hits his head on a rising door.

Despite the game only including content from the original Star Wars trilogy, the Emperor's "Force Flip" attack was taken straight from Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.Another reference to the prequels is the "NOOO" emote, which is a direct reference to Darth Vader's infamous line from Episode III.
