The Japanese version features an unlockable "Theme Song" option, accessed by beating levels 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 16, and 21 and then going into the item shop. Selecting this brings up a sequence where the screen displays lyrics for the (instrumental) title theme, effectively acting as a crude karaoke mode. In the international release, the Theme Song option is still present in the game's code, but is no longer accessible in normal gameplay. Hacking the option back in allows it to work as it did in the Japanese version, but the lyrics are heavily corrupted due to a lack of kanji CHR data.
