The North American release of the game features several graphical overhauls. The first stage is redesigned to resemble a classical medieval castle as opposed to a tower made of toy blocks, with the introductory enemies being changed from floating stumps to goblins, while Ripple's sprite and Jack's shop are made more detailed and realistic.
