Ben's last name is Throttle, but this is never mentioned in the game. His last name was dropped from the final version to avoid potential legal problems with the animated series Biker Mice from Mars, which had a character named Throttle. Ben is referred to as "Ben Whatsisname" in the manual, but his full name can be seen in concept art.
