During the opening battle conversation between Bardock and Gohan, Bardock will say "Hm? You look familiar... Are you Turles' son?" Turles was a Saiyan, and the main antagonist of the 3rd Dragon Ball Z film, The Tree of Might.Though there's no mention in the anime or any official reference material of Turles having a son, if he did, that son might look just like Gohan, due to his own appearance being identical to Gohan's father, Goku.
