The game's box art is reused concept artwork from the game Bass Hunter 64 for the Nintendo 64. The original artwork can be found during Bass Hunter 64's intro as a splash screen, however it features the Bass' mouth closed whilst the cover artwork of Big Bass Fishing has its mouth open.
Both games were published by Take-Two Interactive, though Bass Hunter 64 was developed by GearHead Entertainment and Big Bass Fishing was developed by Coresoft.
