Apr 16, 2024, 10:43 PM | Rocko & Heffer | Game: Sonic Championship | Rings were in Sonic the Fighters as a heavy hit visual effect. |
Apr 16, 2024, 7:27 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Franchise: Sonic The Hedgehog | Guess the entrance to the Mushroom World was always known of before Mario and Luigi stumbled upon it. But jokes on the Paramount Animation's live action Sonic film, Illumination's Mario film had Mario taking a disliking to mushrooms as well, but that didn't stop him from having any issues with the Mushroom World. |
Apr 16, 2024, 7:17 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Game: Sonic Championship | Sonic certainly had still been using aspects from platformer games though with his cameos in both Wreck-It Ralph films, for instance with his use of rings, some of his moves, and from what we saw in the credits of the first film. |
Apr 15, 2024, 11:31 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Franchise: Super Smash Bros. | They never gave an official explanation for Jigglypuff appearing in a way that looks like it's shiny sprite in the first three Smash Bros. games. It's also worth wondering as to if they were teasing Gen II with it in the original Smash Bros. which came around before Shiny Pokemon were even a thing. |
Apr 15, 2024, 11:30 AM * | CuriousUserX90 | Franchise: Super Smash Bros. | There are things I should probably address from looking at this when it came to who else doesn't have green palette swap colours: https://www.ssbwiki.com/Alternate_costume_(SSBU) *Whilst not mentioned to be green, there are some green Koopalings, and the Hero of Dragon Quest IV is green, and Alex + Zombie alternate skins of Steve are green, so I did not need to add them in. *I couldn't tell if the Duck Hunt Dog and Mewtwo have green palette swaps, since green was not amongst the mentioned colours, and since the poster of this submission in 2014 around the time of Smash 4's release did not mention those two. |
Apr 10, 2024, 9:18 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Game: Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS | Indeed Jigglypuff does have some identical animations to Kirby, in fact pretty much every unlockable fighter in the original Smash Bros. had some identical animations to one of the default characters, even Captain Falcon to Samus: https://www.vgfacts.com/game/supersmashbros/trivia-8690/ That however does not make them cloned fighters, especially based on how they're not treated differently from those that aren't, and cloned fighters as I said weren't even a thing till Melee as fighters that were easier for the developers to work on. |
Apr 10, 2024, 9:08 AM | Rocko & Heffer | Game: Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS | Jigglypuff was a clone of Kirby in 64 - his specials were different, but barely any other moves. |
Apr 10, 2024, 6:04 AM * | CuriousUserX90 | Game: Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS | Luigi not being able to wall jump is a way of proving that he in the Smash Bros. series is not a cloned fighter of Mario, especially since cloned fighters weren't even a thing in the series till Melee, of which gave an actual cloned fighter to Mario in the form of Dr. Mario. Semi-Clones meanwhile weren't a thing in the series till Brawl, of which compared to Fully Cloned Fighters don't get treated differently in any way from the others. Then again what we saw be done with semi-cloned fighters in games that have them hasn't been done with Luigi either. |
Apr 9, 2024, 1:05 PM | MehDeletingLater | Company: Sega | This has been corrected, thank you. |
Apr 9, 2024, 12:19 PM | Dinoman96 | Company: Sega | Billy in F-Zero GX has AiAi from Monkey Ball on his belt: https://i.gyazo.com/c900a98bed759322ce1bb8ddde601a61.png Does that count? |
Apr 9, 2024, 2:33 AM | Ultimate Piggley Winks | Company: Sega | Is the blue shirt, black haired dude one of the Lee twins from Double Dragon? |
Apr 8, 2024, 10:01 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Game: Rod-Land | Well thanks for confirming. Guess that also means once pages that aren't still up are back up again, the banners and cover arts will be the same, regardless if they were updated on IGDB with added screenshots that weren't there before. |
Apr 8, 2024, 6:12 AM | MehDeletingLater | Game: Rod-Land | No, only games that are added to the site with its very first submission are displayed under the Recently Added section. The game version you linked will not appear there if more trivia for it is approved in the future because it's already on the site. |
Apr 8, 2024, 5:51 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Game: Rod-Land | Should a submission get posted to here in the near future, will it by any chance still be listed on the recently added game pages due to being the first submission there is to there (not counting those that got moved to page for NES version)?: https://www.vgfacts.com/game/rodland/ |
Apr 5, 2024, 6:36 PM | VinchVolt | Game: The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie | Probably, but "Welcome to Planktopolis... Minions" is a SpongeBob-oriented level, and the area where you can switch to Patrick heavily limits where he can and can't go. Because of this, there aren't really that many opportunities to use Throw, one of Patrick's moves, against them compared to "Shell City, Dead Ahead", which is Patrick-oriented (though allows SpongeBob to roam much more of the level when switching to him). |
Apr 2, 2024, 10:19 AM | Rocko & Heffer | Game: Wii Sports | Wuhu Island debuted in Wii Fit, but in that game it was called Wii Fit Island. It was renamed in Resort. |
Apr 2, 2024, 4:52 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Game: Wii Sports | Thought Wii Sports Resort was when Wuhu Island was officially introduced. |
Apr 2, 2024, 4:45 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Game: Super Smash Bros. Melee | Despite that Melee may have been teasing the then upcoming Kirby: Nightmare In Dream Land with the Fountain Of Dreams theme, later games would mention it as being a remix from Kirby Super Star, even as far as listing it as Melee's Gourmet Race remix from Ultimate onwards. |
Apr 1, 2024, 9:25 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Game: The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie | Pretty sure the Mervyns can also be taken out with the Pick Up & Throw Move, in addition to the two methods mentioned in the submission. That I of course meant to say as a comment. |
Apr 1, 2024, 9:21 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Game: WarioWare: Twisted! | It's funny how even though WarioWare Twisted not releasing in the PAL regions was due to the tilt thingy containing mercury, Yoshi Topsy Turvy still came to the PAL Regions no problem. Here's hope either way that the game will get to be part of the Nintendo Switch Online lineup, and that a PAL release is included for the first time. |
Mar 25, 2024, 11:35 PM | pablito1 | Game: Papa's Paleteria To Go! | I like this game a lot. Papa's paleteria. I play online. |
Mar 23, 2024, 6:25 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Game: Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam | It's funny how even though the developers found it to complicated to handle 4 buttons at once in Paper, the use of such was already made use of in Partners In Time when it came to the plumbers' baby counterparts, as well as with Bowser in Bowser's Inside Story where both X and Y buttons were made use of for him. |
Mar 23, 2024, 4:34 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Game: Princess Peach: Showtime! | That leaker Zippo certainly had me believing that Princess Peach Showtime was developed by the SMO team. Overall I never thought that Good Feel would do any games that don't make use of yarn. |
Mar 22, 2024, 8:51 PM | Rocko & Heffer | Game: Princess Peach: Showtime! | I don't know if this is post-3D All-Stars negativity speaking, but between this and Mario's VA in Wonder, the "you'll find out in the credits" thing Nintendo has been doing lately is really starting to raise eyebrows for me |
Mar 14, 2024, 9:16 AM * | CuriousUserX90 | Game: Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts | Rare already have released games rated higher then E for Everyone during the time they were in the hands of Microsoft. Nuts & Bolts in fact is E10+ for Everyone 10 and up. |
Mar 13, 2024, 4:00 PM | MehDeletingLater | Game: Super Mario 64 DS | This has been corrected, thank you. |
Mar 13, 2024, 6:48 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Game: Super Mario 64 DS | Unsure on how this submission relates to the N64 version of Mario Tennis. And I think Mario might've also been unlockable in Mario Kart Tour like all the characters in that game are since you can't select him the moment you start up the game for the first time. |
Mar 12, 2024, 5:24 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Game: Mario Golf | Of which would lead to the Japanese version not having an even number total of characters due to Metal Mario not being in it as his own character. |
Mar 11, 2024, 1:04 PM * | MehDeletingLater | Game: Marvel: Ultimate Alliance | It applies to all versions of the game from its original release in 2006, and all of those versions you mentioned were developed and released at the same time. |
Mar 11, 2024, 6:17 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Game: Marvel: Ultimate Alliance | Whilst I appreciate as usual how things that even I didn't notice was able to be noticed upon when it comes to certain versions of a game, how exactly does this one in particular relate to the PS2, PSP and Xbox versions of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance? |
Mar 2, 2024, 10:17 PM | VinchVolt | Game: Bravely Default II | No worries; should also remove instances of "has" and "have now" to reflect the change in tense. |
Mar 2, 2024, 6:19 PM | ProtoSnake | Game: Bravely Default II | Thanks, I forgot about that. |
Mar 2, 2024, 6:07 PM | VinchVolt | Game: Bravely Default II | Might want to make it clear that the announcement happened in December 2021. The way it's currently worded makes it seem like the game took until very recently to clear that milestone. |
Feb 26, 2024, 6:07 AM | VinchVolt | Game: Super Mario Maker 2 | Those styles aren't featured in the Instagram video. Even then, Super Mario Bros. 3 (1988) was released during the Shōwa era (1926-1989) and New Super Mario Bros. U (2012) was released during the Heisei era (1989-2019). |
Feb 26, 2024, 5:21 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Game: Super Mario Maker 2 | Do the Super Mario Bros. 3 and New Super Mario Bros. U styles really not represent anything of this Reiwa Era? |
Feb 25, 2024, 12:58 PM | Rocko & Heffer | Game: Kingdom Hearts III | I can somewhat understand where Disney corporate could be coming from on this: Oswald has never had a "modern" design (pale fur, sclera), so - unless they wanted to do Timeless River again - they'd basically have to make an all-new character design for him. |
Feb 25, 2024, 5:16 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Game: Kingdom Hearts | Welcome back PirateGoofy, first submission from you on the new VGFacts. |
Feb 23, 2024, 5:54 AM | CuriousUserX90 | Franchise: Killer Instinct | Ah now I see: https://www.vgfacts.com/game/killerinstinctgold/trivia-6108/ So Killer Instinct 3 was definitely a no show, and the 2013 game is certainly not that. |
Feb 22, 2024, 9:25 PM | Petie | Game: Pikmin 2 | I'm pretty sure it was covered in that video as well as TCRF. I'm not able to verify at the moment but when I originally looked into this, it all seemed to add up. |
Feb 22, 2024, 2:16 PM | ZpaceJ0ck0 | Franchise: Killer Instinct | Not exactly. Killer Instinct Gold is just the N64 port of Killer Instinct 2. This pitch was after that. |
